My girlfriend in high school bought me a signed Rodney Harrison football on ebay about 5 years ago. Needless to say, the football is sitting in a closet collecting dust and figured it'd be a great item for those are collect this type of stuff. I want to sell it on Ebay but I do not have a certificate of authentication. My gf threw it out with the rest of the packaging and just gave me the signed football. I've looked on ebay and his signature is exactly the same as on the ball and I know its legit...However, would I just be wasting my time trying to sell it online without a certificate? I honestly know I would not buy signed memorabilia without a certificate but figured its better than having it collect dust in my closet. Should I just hang on to it?

Re: OT: Harrison football

you won't get as much $$ for it but it's probably still worth selling there if it's just collecting dust. I've had great luck selling stuff on ebay, just reiterate your story to people and you'll probably get someone who will bite.

Re: OT: Harrison football

Rodney is not going to be happy that you are trying to get rid of his stuff.

Wait until he's named MVP of the next SB and then it will be worth more.

Re: OT: Harrison football

Yea, that's what I figured. I know there's a lot of sketchy stuff going on at Ebay and I wouldn't want to screw someone over (because I use the service just about every month)...I guess I could try and see what comes up. Thanks!
