That article terrifies me more than the "awesome" combo of Jerry Porter and Troy Williamson.

I like this guys response on the bottome of the article:rolleyes:

It’s funny, and probably true. Belicheat and his gang of lowlifes that masquerade as a coaching staff will be brainstorming for the entire off season, trying to come up with new ways to circumvent the rules. They can’t take the chance that Brady will find out that playing QB in the NFL is really hard when you don’t know what the defense will run as you come to the line. He might even look like a 6th round draft pick.

Do people really belive some of the stuff that comes out of their mouths?

If you were to ask that guy what his excuse was for 50 TDs last year AFTER the cameras were removed, you'd get this: . He'd have no idea. Believe me, I live in Jacksonville. There are A LOT of morons around here. I watched the game at Alltel as well in my Pats jersey. While some people wanted to have me along (complete strangers) just to watch the game with them, I got a lot of "get out of here you ******* frontrunner!" etc. Personally, the idiot side of their fanbase makes me hope that the franchise gets moved out to L.A. At least they'll be able to sell out their home games there.

Obviously a writer in Jacksonville wanted the recognition only mentioning the Patriots can give. This is news? Oh, I forgot, it is the off season.

I knew someone would whine about this.

I fogert, who won the last time the patriots played them?

Not to take a stab at anyone, but my friends and I stopped a rest stop in jacksonville on our way to miami for spring break back in the day and we asked a few Jacksonvillians how long it took to get to Miami.

"Well usually it takes about 5, 5.5 hours. But a while back, one fella on one of them there motor bikes, well he did it in about 2 hours."

Your joking.

"No sir I am not."

Mamn you do realize that at 350 miles that would be averaging 175 mph, right?

"Are you calling me a liar son?"

No no....I...never mind. Thank you.

Anyways, the moral of the story is dont get directions from the people who hang around all the time at the rest stop in Jacksonville, no matter how good the free orange juice is.

Get used to it. These sort of potshots will be the crutch of weak-minded sports writers for the next few years. A pair of Super Bowls should help drown out their din though.

People in Jax don’t care about this guy or that team down there as evidenced by the difficulty in selling out games. When Vic gets a job covering a real NFL team, then I’ll care about what he has to say.

I bet the Pats get more attention down there than the Jags. This is off the subject but when we went down there for the SB, I couldn't believe that the NFL had chosen booneyville for such a huge worldwide event.

Have you ever been through Jacksonville? It's one of the nicer cities in Florida (besides Panama City for obvious reasons). Plus, girls down here > girls in Mass.

I......do......not.......care......

only on bathroom scales and std competitions.

let's hope randy moss has learned his lesson about florida girls.

huh never heard of the guy...

The day I take someone from Jacksonville seriously on a football discussion, let alone one on the Patriots is the day I say Peyton Manning is better than Tom Brady.

Come on guys....this is Jacksonville.....what has ever come from this place? They are up there with the likes of ESPN....what a waste...

He can't. He won't be able to. For him, it's either the hotness of Florida girls or the pasty white, red headed, freckled monstrosities in Massachusettes.

Who really cares?!? Ketchman makes these types of jokes all the time. We as Pats fans will have to get used to these types of jokes or comments for at least the next big NFL scandal.

I am totally unfazed by comments like these. If this was not a dead part of the offseason, Florio would never had posted it in the first place

The only reason this guy makes these comments is because the Pats have owned the Jags since they came into the League.

The Pats are 4-0 in the regular season and 3-1 in the playoffs against Jacksonville.

The only Pats loss was in the Wild Card game in January of '99 when Scott Zolak was the QB.

Ebrace the tool bag hate in '08. Jacksonville is a nice second rate wanna be city with 3rd rate wanna be sports reporters.

He must figure if he bashes the Pats and makes outragious statments he'll pickup more readers in palukaville.
