They'll be a lot of interesting storylines we'll get a taste of this upcoming TC and into the exhibition games (and of course, into the season). To me, I think the most interesting players will be...

- Chad Jackson: can he fulfill his potential and become a lethal #3...
- Brandon Meriweather: can he earn a starting role, or at the very least, continue to improve in the nickel and dime packages as an extra DB
- Jerod Mayo: how quickly will he pick up things and how quickly can he earn himself some significant playing time?
- Richard Seymour: a healthy offseason should allow a return to his dominant self
- Victor Hobson: could be bargain, could come in and start at SILB and be a run-stuffer
- Fernando Bryant: career starter, everything we've heard about him has been VERY positive...will he make us forget about Asante?
- Piere Woods: Is he just an ST demon, or can he earn reps?
- Nick Kazcur: Is the move to OG in summer camp just b/c of Neal's absence?
- Ellis Hobbs: A lot of folks here feel he can be a #1 CB when healthy, and has gone underrated the last couple of years, not to mention he's been playing through injuries...how good can a healthy Hobbs be?

Feel free to add more, I'll put in an "others" column....

Chad Jackson by far. He's had ample time to sit and learn the playbook and he's studied behind Randy Moss for a season. If there ever was a year for CJack to succeed, it's this year.

Coming in second is Jerod Mayo.

My feelings exactly...although I'm pretty excited about all the players, and Seymour is up at the top somewhere, too.

As a Jet fan I had to go with Hobson who I've always liked. I am hoping he doesn't become a force with the Pats.

2nd and 3rd would be Mayo and Jackson.

Mayo, hope his young energy can help out the LBs

What are your thoughts of Hobson moving inside...I haven't paid enough attention to him to know other than what I've read about him, curious to see what you think of him as a Jets fan.

CJ without a doubt, better step it up.

I went with Mayo as my primary interest, and I would vote Hobson second. Improvements at Linebacker top my list of importance, and I really hope they are in facet improvements. I guess I'd include Woods in that group, too. I still have hope for him.

After that I'd go with Hobbs, Meriweather and Bryant because I'm hoping to see how we'll do without Samuel and our other losses at DB. Samuel was great, and I'm sorry he's gone but at the same time I think we'll get by without him. I'm not looking for anybody to match his interception numbers or anything like that, we just need good consistent coverage that keeps pressure on the receivers and the ball out of their hands.

Re: Which player are you most looking forward to seeing in TC/Pre-season?

There are three:

Jerod Mayo - Pretty self explanatory. Our first pick, big money invested, our linebacking core relies on his development.

Brandon Meriweather - Our first pick last year, I still have no idea what position hes going to play. It'll be interesting to see how he preforms with more playing time.

Shawn Crable - One of my favoruite players from this draft class. A monstrous outside linebacking pass rushing demon. Hoping to see his game and see if he has the ability and smarts to take over for Vrabel in the near future.

Mayo by far. The weakest spot of last years team was lack of speed in the middle of our D.

Mayo is the most intriguing by far - If Mayo does not contribute in a very quick and positive way the front seven could be in a little trouble down the road with the lack of youth there.

Re: Which player are you most looking forward to seeing in TC/Pre-season?

L.Maroney for me--After breaking through near the end of last season, I look forward to seeing him continue putting up good rushing yards for us(and hopefully scoring a few TDs)

Bumping. 10

Re: Which player are you most looking forward to seeing in TC/Pre-season?

Wheatley to some extent but I have good confidence in him, Mayo and Crable - the one I'd pick is Matt Slater; a throw away pick who could have a huge impact if he has the kind of return ability some claim he has. If we release him, no big deal to me with where he was drafted, but if he comes through he gives us a new big play threat without having to play starters like Hobbs, Maroney and Welker on returns.

Re: Which player are you most looking forward to seeing in TC/Pre-season?

Hobson. Much as Mayo is critical to the future, I try to temper my enthusiasm and expectations for rookies. Hobson is the key to keeping AD and Vrabel on the outside. With the loss of Colvin, there's no depth at OLB.

Seymour would be next. His return to supremacy would cement this defense as a run-stopping, pass-rushing force.

For pure viewing pleasure, I'm looking forward to Meriweather catching some balls and decking some WRs. I think he'll be fun to watch. Ditto for Dave Thomas, if he's healthy. I've always thought this guy could be good.

All in all, I'm looking forward to the fall (not to hasten summer!).

I'm interested in seeing some snaps from this Tom Brady character. He might be a diamond in the rough...:D

Re: Which player are you most looking forward to seeing in TC/Pre-season?

Chad Jackson. When healthy, he has shown he can be a poor-man's Randy Moss, and since we already have the real thing across the field, that could work out well.

If anyone will benefit from Chad being a beast, it will be Wes Welker who will have that much more room to abuse nickel corners and safetys.

Re: Which player are you most looking forward to seeing in TC/Pre-season?

Terrence Wheatley

Re: Which player are you most looking forward to seeing in TC/Pre-season?

I said Chad Jackson. Not to take anything away from Stallworth, but I think Jackson could make room for himself to catch some balls all season long where Donte didn't.

I think if we spark last years offense with a more significant threat on the left (hoping no one else notices, haha) we'll see Welker hit a record season and our backfield committee get VERY deadly.

If he makes the splash I think he can, a LOT of defenses are going to have a hard time un-stretching the field.

But what do I know. I live in Canada, eh.

I'll go with 'other' - Sammy Morris, I hope he is 100% now and ready to go. The Pats were much, much better on the ground attack with him splitting time with Maroney.

Close seconds: Chad Jackson, Jerod Mayo and Terrance Wheatley.
