Ya I think the undefeated regular season will be remembered for all time, but for all the wrong reasons.

It's embarassing and true fans know it.

True fans could not be embarassed by 16-0. Frontrunners and bandwaggoners on the other hand are only in it for bragging rights and they embarass a lot more easily.

I was as disappointed as anyone in the outcome of game 19. But that said this team has never done anything that embarassed me. Frustrated, temporarily angered, caused me periodic seasonal discomfort even. Never embarassed. A small portion of the internet fan base on the other hand...continually embarasses me as a Pat's fan.

You can usually watch NFLN shows online. I would try that out.

Great posting. I can't imagine how anyone would be embarassed of an undefeated regular season. it was AWESOME. We played in like 4 SB's in '07.

I'm not going to get into a competition of who is a true fan. Each person values different things of their team.

Honestly the undefeated season ranks AFTER the three SB's for me. If they go 13-3 and win the SB next year that ranks ahead of the undefeated season. That's just my own opinion. It was a good accomplishment but came up short. And it will probably be remembered for many decades, but it doesn't have the same stature as the Miami Dolphins.

Sure we have three SB's , but let's hoe the opportunity for 1 or 2 more doesn't slip by. I will feel the second half of Brady and BB run will be a disappointment if they never win another SB.

Of course not. I could never watch it again. I pretend it never happened. In my mind, the Pats went 18-0 last year. Heck, even if they had won, I wouldn't watch it again. As a game, it sucked.

The difference is, I do not think that 16-0 is embarrassing because of it.

What he's saying is that the season was a good one and I agree. Maybe you should go back and remember some really bad Patriots teams to recalibarte. I'll take a 18-1 season and a Super Bowl loss to a good team than knowing that you're playing for nothing from the first of November anytime.

Many people don't measure their enjoyment in terms of Super Bowls.

You can ask for more and hope for more but to be embarassed if you dont get it wouldn't be right.


IMO last year was the fourth best season in Patriot history and that is a point of pride.

There will be Highlights and Analysis of all 16 games. Coaches and Players will be wired for sound also.

Why does this feel as if NFL Network is mocking Patriots Nation?

Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Actually, I kind of think the NFL Network loves the Pats.

I keep the word the "Patriots" on my DVR wishlist with an auto-record feature on and I have been picking up tons of Pats stuff the last two weeks - old AFC Championship games, Jags Wild Card and Titans Divisional playoff games, regular season replays from 2007...

Pretty cool stuff to save and watch in July and August as the season approcahes!

I am sure I will also pick up "Path to Perfection".

(Of course, I have to keep deleting movies like "The Patriot" (which is actually not a bad flick) and "Patriot Games (which IS a bad flick!))

I wish I never watched it. Don't get me wrong, I loved that team and will again follow the Pats closely this season. I'll even be wearing my AFC Champions t-shirt which I bought for $4.97 at ****s Sports... but watching the 1 hour Path to Perfection (ultimately it was really the path to imperfection) special only to know how miserably it ended just kills me. The Celtics and Red Sox championships don't ease my pain. The G-Men were 10-6 going into the playoffs. The Giants played a great game but I think our team choked a bit. Clearly the Giants learned from the Eagles and Ravens games. I know the Pats weren't as dominating towards the end of the season and probably shouldn't have been favored by double-digits. Nonetheless, I think if the Pats brought their A-Game and if they genuinely wanted it, they ought to win this. The team collapsed, the coaching was questionable, our weak secondary was exposed... we choked on the biggest stage of all.
