OT: Moss, Brady, get "100" ratings in Madden

EA's released the player ratings for this year's Madden game, and Tom Brady and Randy Moss are the newest members of the 100-rating stat category club.

Brady will have 100 awareness and Moss will have 100 jumping ability.

These 100 ratings are ridiculous. I can see a 98-99 rating for both Brady and Moss, but no one player is perfect in a particular area. For example: Brady's awareness did not look that good in the SB.

dude its a video game. They jack everyones ratings up to the point where the only way to make the ridicoulous performances from the prior year be accuratelly reflected is to give 100 ratings.....

Frigging Sanders and Meriweather are both 86. Sanders should be an 83 at the most and Meriweather should be an 81 or 82 at best currently.

Everyone's ratings are up. Hell Kaczur's is in the high 80s.

It was bad enough that should-be Madden 09 cover athlete Adrian Peterson got bumped by a retiree in Brett Favre, but the second slap in the face came when the Vikings RB got smeared in the ratings. Yeah, we know a 95 overall's fantastic, but he's below Eagles RB Brian Westbrook (97) and Rams halfback Steven Jackson (97). No way.

Sounds about right to me, considering Jackson and Westbrook lead the NFL in yards from scrimmage in 2006 and 2007, both times over LaDainian "99 rating" Tomlinson.

They had these 100 ratings in Madden 08 too. Moss did have 100 spectactular catch in 08, but they lowered it to a 99 in 09. Go figure.

They also raised Moss's speed from a 97 in 08 to 98 in 09. Chad Jackson went from a 73 to a 78 with 0 catches last season. I'll take it. I'm play the game pretty competitively (go to tournaments and what not) and i'm happy with the bump they gave Jackson, maybe he can help replace Stallworth who was a beast in the game.

Brady has 99 throw power and 99 throw accuracy too, he is basically perfect.

Ridiculous. Not that they don't deserve it, but a "perfect" rating for anyone on the game was a door that should have never been opened. Plus, Madden hasn't had any real innovation since the Hit Stick came in 04 or 05. Every "feature" after that spanned from forgotten the day after I got the game (Lead Block controls) to utter garbage (QB Vision).

Please excuse my general pissiness...I am really irritated at EA today for botching the Battlefield: Bad Company servers so bad on release day that I couldn't play it at all online. How do you not have enough servers to accomidate online play after you had a public Beta AND a multiplayer demo?Bastards.

Its all relative. If you say no one should get a 100 rating; then the max becomes 99? So 99 is now a perfect rating?

As far as the other point on ratings: For young players, they tend to be predictave, for vets, they tend to be how they performed the prior year

The real Patriots offense outscored my video game team when I play at the top settings so... Yeah the 100 rating is to reflect that they formed the most potent offense in the history of the NFL. I'm glad they are getting some indirect props from Madden.

I am not going to argue that as everyone has a right to their opinion and I think it has declined but it is still fun. My main point is that this year is going to be a lot of fun because the Pats are going to be nasty. Brady to Moss all day long :rocker:

What gets me is Wayne Hunter has a 100 Morale rating. He's appeared in 3 games over five seasons, and was out of football all last year. WOuldn't you expect his morale to be low. My friend went ona rant about it in our blog lol.

Oh and Demetrius brown has 95 morale too for some reason.

I'm pumped for the new Madden, I love that the safeties ratings have gone up a bit I hope they fixed the franchise glitch where after about 3 seasons theres a huge glitch where theres of lack of free agents and teams can't get there roster full so the week just freezes cause a certain team has a lack of players.
I tried to sign a bunch of players at team needy positions then another team for no reason would sign them as a free agent instead of the needy team.
All that being said I am damn near unstoppable in Madden and with these ratings it's damn near unfair to play me.
