I know Mike Lynch is on All Access....and supposedly a good reporter..(Frankly I watch All Access not in anyway because of him and Halloran, who I can not stand.) But why in this time of celebrating the Celts does he make a comment about the Patriots? And I did miss some of it...so I missed the start of how he brought it up, but it was a bit about resting starters and how the team limped into the playoffs and won but barely..? Huh?? What kind of a bandwagon jumper is he?? Brings back more reason I think he's a jerk...

Sounds like SportsCenter's next anchorman to me. :bricks:

Re: leave it to Lynch to make a derogatory comment about the Patriots

Did anyone here the full context?? It just seemed like a back hand swipe at the Patriots..now that he's in Royal Green atop the Celts bandwagon..just seemed like a small comment..

Re: leave it to Lynch to make a derogatory comment about the Patriots

I'd like to see the full comment and how it was said. He is as close to a Patriots homer as anyone in the media.(if you don't count Smearlas as media)

I know..which is why I wanted to see his full comment..as I found it VERY small and hardly homerish..

Jeezus, it was in no way derrogatory... You must just be incensed that Ainge built a champion after you pronounced him a moron...

He was talking about the incredible turnaround from basically worst to first, and he elluded to how hard a season like this is and how in hindsight it was probably a good thing that Garnett missed time because the team didn't miss a beat when he was out and that built confidence and how Doc used his bench throughout and how that led to a team that was capable of winning with those players playing substantial roles down the stretch. He contrasted how the Patriots seemed to peek early and struggled down the stretch and didn't rest anyone perhaps because of the undefeated season and seemed to run out of gas down the stretch in the playoffs. While the Celtics team seemed to be continuing to grow and really only hit their stride as they advanced through the playoffs. I think that is a pretty valid observation. And one that has been made here before.

Maybe not,.,but I can see how petty you are with your comments.. Did I strike a nerve??

Wow, Boston sports fans are a bunch of whiny sissies.

We have the best teams, the most competent coaches and all three teams (Bruins don't count... yet) played well on the highest stage of their sports; winning 2 out of a very close 3, the only loss coming after a perfect season.

Really? How must Cleveland and Philadelphia be feeling?

Get over yourselves. Spygate aside (and that's a very big aside, I'll admit), We really have very little to complain about. Go celebrate and stop whining.

It's just because the Bruins suck....

It's a 100% valid observation, they clearly were not the same team in December and January that they were earlier in the year.

You may not like to hear it; the truth hurts, they were on fumes by the time they got to the Super Bowl.

Haha, and even they make the playoffs. It's not like they're hopeless.

When the worst of your four major sports teams is a hard-working, scrappy, playoff team that took your fierce division rival to seven games, complaining should be kept to minimum.

How about Kansas City? Only two sports, and they're graced with Herm Edwards and the Royals :bricks:

They sure didn't seem "out of gas" against Jacksonville, just to point to an easy example.

Re: leave it to Lynch to make a derogatory comment about the Patriots

Just didn't like the timing of his comments..here he is celebrating a championship in basketball and he decides to dump on the team that missed a Super Bowl win by an unreal catch...in a close game. He certainly can have his own opinions...maybe better to sspout them on Patriots All Access?? Maybe when he's talking to CoachB? Oh..that already happened...did he mention that? No??? No guts for him..better to say that when covering the Green...

Exactly. Not that I expect any of the whiners to listen to you, but you're exactly right.

The Pats also had a wounded quarterback.

just another person who has something bad to say about the pats, they are all over the place. many of them are not making an intelligent argument, most of the haters seem to be very uneducated about the nfl

That's your opinion, which you have a right to, as do I have a right to mine. I go with what my eyes tell me and they were toast down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Do you even know who Mike Lynch is? He's far from a hater and uneducated about the NFL.

Some of you guys need to lighten up.

My only question was the timing of it..and the fact that if he feels that way why didn't he ask Coach B about that? But as I said..that would have taken guts..something he doesn't have..

Look, one bad day by a team happened to occur during the biggest game of the year and they still should have won it. Not to mention they had a wounded QB (more hurt than you'll ever know) and lost a starting O lineman early on.

Fact is, if a fumble is recovered (Woods) or a pick made (Assante & Meriweather) or a ball knocked away (Rodney, Assante & Sanders) or a final completion made (Moss just missed on the last long bomb) we win and are crowned as the greatest of all time.

So, I don't know about running out of gas down the stretch although, yes, in contrast to other years they were not peaking down the stretch or in the playoffs - SCREW IT........it was it what it was and it's OVAH, move forward or you'll drive yourself insane as I just did to myself.
