Personal matter = he doesn't feel like practicing. Quite the same thing Burress is probably going through. Didn't he skip the mini-camps the last couple of years as well with "injuries" that miraculously healed before the first game of the season?

Honestly, 75% of the Pats fans here are complete hypocrites. Don't give me that "spygate changed us" sob story, you were hypocrites before. Pats fans are no different than any other teams' fans, when it our team we play it down, when it's someone else the rumors start flying.

If that means his 8 year old kid that's terrible. He'll need more time off than 2 days. If it's someone else related that sucks too. I tend to veiw him as a selfish buffoon, but that's just a nationally fed media perception. I just happen to think his intellect is far behind his abilities to handle the spotlight, whatever his real motivations are.

I would tend to beleive he genuinely likes playing in Dallas. Fact is it is a good team. See you in Tampa BWare.

I'm not sure what Crapgate has to do with anything; the only reason this is news is because it involves one of the most flamboyant, mic loving drama queens in the NFL today. Git cher popcorn ready...

People judge him because that's the position he's put himself in after all these years of being in front of a camera and a mic. He's always loved being the story and oftentimes he's tried very hard to make sure that he is exactly that. Maybe right now he wishes that weren't the case, but owell. And that's the Cowboys themselves too- it's no secret Jones doesn't mind the Hollywood-ish persona his team has.

I hope TO's son is ok I'd find it hard to believe someone would make up a story about their own child's health; talk about bad karma

It really is absurd. Instead of taking lessons learned from "spygate" about assumptions and innuendo and waiting until the actual story comes out before going apeshit, Pats fans cast more judgement than a fat housewife with a National Enquirer the second these "stories" come out.

It really is absurd. Instead of taking lessons learned from "spygate" about assumptions and innuendo and waiting until the actual story comes out before going apeshit, Pats fans cast more judgement than a fat housewife with a National Enquirer the second these "stories" come out.

Well not everyone deals with something like that the same way you do. Nobody really gave the Pats the benefit of the doubt during Spygate. Nobody gave Randy Moss the benefit of the doubt after that woman said he struck her before the Super Bowl. Oh wait, someone did? Oh, they were Pats fans. Well, that doesn't count unfortunately. Everyone else just jumped to a conclusion that they are still riding as we speak. Again, they never extended us that courtesy, why should I do it for them?

I don't understand... you're saying the way to respond to stupidity is to practice it yourself? You started a thread to harpoon some guy you don't know. But, you've seen him play football and watched snippets of interviews. Thus, you clearly understand his inner-workings.

Then, you re-grouped within said thread intending to rally the troops around you to regale over the fact that he was...GASP!...taking personal time (during the OFF-SEASON) that would be given to any Joe Schmo, regardless of his salary being exponentionally higher than yours (as referenced not only in your OP, but in your title).

Within this thread, folks countered your argument to say, hey brah, not now, ok? Now you come with some new tack that is vitriol-laden, still.

I used to avoid rushes to judgement but, during Spygate, 85% of fans from other teams never extended my team that same courtesy. Since then, I've been a lot "freer" to judge other teams in the initial story. That and I just don't like T.O., lol. Don't mind the Cowboys, but hate T.O.

Other fans do not root for an terrorist explosion in the press box killing all ESPN personnel during a MNF game. I know of at least 1 Patriots fan that does.

(He is pretty merciful, he does not want suffering, just death.)

BTW did Moss take TC off last year? I remember him showing up earlier than expected. Of course he could have shon up for passing camp, missed TC and came back for preseason so Felger could report he was dogging it and may be cut.
