Before I even clicked on the post the first game that came to mind was @ Ravens 2007. The Pats deserved that win about as much as the Giants deserved the SB win.

I would have to agree with you on that one....that was one ugly game and such a great win.....

:agree: it was so unbelievably close to have ended differently, all the ravens needed was a few seconds for one last play, we were lucky we got lots of decisions going our way

All the Ravens needed was a non-dumbass defensive coordinator to not call timeout right before the Ravens stuffed us on 4th and 1. Ryan (I think he did it) should have had half of his salary taken away from that one. That single game absolutely deflated the Ravens for the rest of the year. The Colts came in and absolutely crushed them and the Dolphins beat them I think a few weeks later.

It seems that happens to most teams that get so close to beating the Pats get deflated at run out of gas....

Yup. I remember the players on the field too- they were :enranged::enranged: and got called out for it later on. Agreed- that team lost their faith that night.
Scary game... that was the first time I realized how invested I really was in them going undefeated:eek:. Intellectually I didn't care if they lost that one but apparently that still didn't prevent me from dreading a loss either. Weird, and right up there with the Ugliest Wins Of All Time.:scared:

I agree....ugly...but it was a WIN!

The game vs the Browns in 03 (won 9-3 I believe) deserves mention.

@ Biils 2001. Fairly late in regulation, the Bills had an apparent TD taken away by the refs; I forget exactly why, but I do recall television replays showing that it was indeed a TD, but the Bills did not contest the call, enabling the Pats to win in OT. This was the game in which Patten was literally knocked out on a sideline hit during OT; he had apparently fumbled the ball and it was picked up by the Bills and advanced for a significant gain. However, while checking on replay for something else, the refs discovered that the ball had touched the unconscious Patten while he himself was laying half out of bounds, thus nullifying the return and giving the ball back to the Pats. While the Bills were busy squawking about this, Antowain Smith ran the next play up the gut for a long gain to set up the winning figgie.

U-U-u-u-u-u-ugly with two capital U's.

That's the game when I became convinced that destiny was on the Pats' side.

Again maybee I misunderstood this thread, but if its the ugliest win with TB playing his worst game, no question any of the dolphin games that were won in 04 and 06..

If its just the pats win a game that was ugly, You could not call any game this yr ugly.. Exciting, but not ugly.. but if you want to take a game, it would have to be the afc title game, in fact the 03 championship game the pats won was ugly and should have not been as close as it was..

Nobody is mentioning this game but I think the Jets game in '07 at home was a pretty ugly win. Probably more cause I wanted the Pats to beat them so bad. I was hoping for a 30+ point win and we actually came close to losing that game. TB and the whole offense played horrible. Defense and Special Teams won that game for us.

I was at that game. It was even ugly tailgating that day.

the AFC championship game 2007 vs the chargers, that game was disgusting

No win is ugly ;) Having said that, the win over Cleveland in 2003 (9-3) was fairly hard on the eyes. The Post-Blizzard game at home against Miami was fun, but the game was fairly ugly in and of itself (12-0, 3-0 deep into the 4th). That was the game where Charlie Weis went off on the offense (from the America's Game series) saying everyone needs to wake the **** up ("you included!" to #12)...

I completely agree, this was by far the most painful game to watch :bricks:
