read sasha's comments after the game...typical whining...

"The whole game, from the minute I came in, they called fouls on me. He fell down, foul. I was trying to find a way to guard him for 48 minutes, and everything I did was a foul. He got me. He went to the basket, and it was a good basket. I don't know what else to say," Vujacic said, half-forlorn, half-disgusted as he stood in front of his locker in a morose Lakers dressing room.

Seeing him on the bench hitting a chair and trying not to cry was FANTASTIC! I like how he complained about a call and they showed the slo-mo right after of him tripping Ray Allen from the floor. He whines about every single call (same with Kobe, and I guess a lot of other guys but somehow its more annoying when he does it).

I'm certain I didn't just read that Sasha Vujacic is complaining about flopping.

I loved when he complained about the painfully obvious tripping foul. Not only did he put a scissors hold on Allen, but I half-expected him to follow up with an ankle lock and maybe a People's Elbow for the finish.

Also nice to see Bill Plaschke - who piled on the Pats about spygate all season - having to write about his beloved Lakers in the LA Times today.

Lakers' meltdown to Celtics is hard to swallow

They didn't choke.

By definition, when one chokes, there is noise, movement, desperation.

The Lakers didn't choke.

They blew the NBA Finals without making a sound.

They botched their entire season while standing still.

They lost a 24-point lead -- the biggest collapse in the NBA Finals in at least 37 years -- by staring dreamily into the hardened eyes of a Boston Celtics team that angrily shoved them into next fall.

Choke? On Thursday night in front of a Staples Center crowd whose early cheers lapsed into a stunned and horrified silence, the Celtics' 97-91 victory was more like a smote.

The Lakers led by 21 points after the first quarter, the biggest first-quarter lead in NBA Finals history.

The Lakers led by 20 points midway through the third quarter, an insurmountable margin for a team playing at home and possessing the MVP.

And, yeah, they lost by six.

They gave the game away, but not before one of them walked away.

You know how Los Angeles fans are famously criticized for leaving games early.

Add Kobe Bryant to their list.

He walked off the court with three seconds remaining as the Lakers were bringing up the ball for a final shot.

It was a most egregious act for a most valuable player.

Meltdowns everywhere.

Anyone know what the foul count was for game 4?

It was pretty even from what I read, the FT count was somewhere around 29-28 Lakers so the officiating was dead even.

HE DOES FOUL ON EVERY PLAY. He swings his arms at the ball and the player. He's like that really annoying guy you play pickup with who is uber-aggressive, but not coordinated enough to actually play good defense, so he just hacks away and assumes he's playing good, tough, legal defense, when he's really fouling you every single f**king play.

Exactly.

I always hate that guy.
