I hated that guy as a coach ... it was like watching someone scratch their nails on a blackboard. But, he's really bringing it for these finals ... doing a great job. Great insight without being obnoxious or bloviating. Actually ... I think the entire crew is doing a good pretty balanced job.

can Joe Morgan learn from a basketball announcing crew?

yeah he was good earlier when Kobe had a blatant foul and the "other announcer" said it was not a foul, and Van Gundy basically blasted him and said he's full of it.

then the other announcer said he was just kidding and Van Gundy accused him of backpedaling. I thought that was awesome.

but now whenever i see him i only think about that fight where he was holding on to that player's leg and being dragged, looking like a 4 year old holding onto his dad's leg in toys r' us after he was denied some micro machines.

That announcing team has great chemistry. One of the best teams to listen to for all sports.

My friends hate him as an announcer, I'm just like 'what?', I like that announcing team. They are very neutral and don't show bias for either the C's or the Lakers.

You know what I liked, and it seems so logical, but most announcers/side line reporters love the face in the camera, is when the camera panned the announcers and the game was in progress, Van Gundy pointed twice to the play (like show the action). Nothing worse then missing the action of a game for a sideline report. Heck, I don't even like the double screen when theirs a tornado warning.

Remember when Johnny lit himself on fire in the booth? Classic.

Or he was having an ear ache, went to the Dr. and they found a battery in his ear.

I can still hear his gravely voice: "and the crybaby brings the ball up the court".
