Interesting, the original announcement last year said that Yard House was going in, but apparently that fell through.

The website also says that the CBS Scene is scheduled to open in August (all the rest were more like September/October). Fred Kirsch also said he and Bryan Morry are trying to get the Hall at Patriot Place open by August too, and that will have a new Pro Shop in it.

You can see the CBS Scene (and its big video board) just to the right of the lighthouse: http://instacam.com/InstaCAM/imagelist_by_week.asp?id=FXBRG

The other things still look like they have a little ways to go: http://wm-live.world.mii-streaming.net/live/patriots/push/1

Red Robin! Will this be open pregame?! Excellent burgers, good beer selection. Comfortable, affordable, great service. I can't wait.

What? No Ritz Camera?

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

WOW! Thanks for that one, pats1, that was super-interesting! You're right, those speculation threads are so boring compared to announcements of commerce! Thumbs up!

I'd much prefer an $8 burger over a $40,000,000 offensive tackle.

Nice! Davio's:D

I heard they're planning to or did(?) put a bar in the Bass Pro Shop. I mention that because I know some people who really think that's going to end up being a bad idea, but anyway.

I can't wait for this: http://www.patriot-place.com/contents.aspx?The Hall Thanks pats1!

Yard house is going to Legacy Place in Dedham which is where the old show case cinema used to be

This sounds great.

Awesome.

Hope the HOF is open during Training Camp.

I find I'm strangely torn about all this. I love Bass Pro and will also love the Hall but I can't help but feel that all this right in front of the stadium is going to take away from some of the atmosphere I've come to enjoy over the years. I think maybe if more of the development not directly related to the team (the Hall and new ProShop) was off to the fringes more (like Bass, Staples etc) I wouldn't feel this way. Part of the excitement of every game is walking from the lots and being able to look at the stadium and feel the excitemnet build. It started last year with the construction and I think will be felt tenfold that we're entering more of a "wine and cheese" atmosphere than ever before. Maybe I'm just getting into that old time bastard mode now that I'm nearing 40 but I can't but miss the old feeling of being a blue collar event. I definitely want to see Kraft make the most out of his property, after all he paid for most of this stadium himself. Like I said "strangely torn".

I agree with you 100%.

I think that as Stadiums are built outside of a Major Metro areas you will see more of this - i.e. The New Dallas Stadium has a development package almost identical to what Kraft is doing around Patriot place.

Even the proposed LA stadium has a massive proposed retail package attached to it.

I will always remember going to Foxboro as a Kid with my Dad and walking thru fields to get to the Stadium and thinking that it was in the middle of no where, and for the most part it was and still is - No offense to Foxboro.

It's not that difficult to see an owners view when they have an opportunity to make what was once a 12-20 day a year destination a year round destination.

It's an innovative approach and I hope that it turns out great. The worst possible scenario is that it becomes dead and depressed real estate if people do not go year round. However, It seems Kraft is doing things right, whether you agree or not, by bringing in some pretty big anchors along with a lot of other specialty shops.

I hope it works for him and the team and on the other side, I'm glad I had the experience I had when I was a kid.

Yep, playing football before the games in the old lots was alot less hazardous with a grass or dirt surface as opposed to cement, and hell the traffic seems the same to me.

Or compared to starting threads about the latest filth from the slime lawyer Florio. As long as he, or anyone else, uses the word "cheating" to describe the advanced scouting methods of the NEP, then he is dead to me. I haven't clicked PFT or MMQB since Columbus Day, and I have no reason to do so in the future.

Now as for Patriot Place: if a Neiman-Marcus (or, as we used to call it in Texas, Needless Markup) ever turns up there, then I will know that Kraft has sold his soul to the wine-and-cheese front-runners. Give me Sears any day.

And I wonder, with the infamous traffic/access problems on Route 1, will there really be that many people inside Route 128 who would want to venture all the way to the Razor, just to go...shopping?

LOL, I love Neiman Marcus. To look, not to buy. I have never bought one single thing for myself there in my life. 200 dollars for a shirt? No thanks.

It would be a weird thing to have at Patriot Place, IMO.

A lot of these stores are also right down the road at the Wrentham Outlets. Should be interesting, because PP will have a lot more restaurants and entertainment to offer than Wrentham (which has Cracker Barrel, and maybe another restaurant?).

Heh, the PatsFans love/hate relationship with Florio is something to watch. If he posts something positive about the Pats, he is revered for being a voice for the fans. If he posts something negative, he's unreliable and trying to stir **** up.
