they just had an answer to "what team got sued for filming the rams practice" that is not the whole thing, but that is the bottom line. this is what bob kraft was talking about, how the people will remember the allegations but not the truth

Re: Jepardy hates the Pats

That's really sad.

Re: Jepardy hates the Pats

it is an outrage i tell you, AN OUTRAGE!

of course nothing was said about how the taping never happened....

You really should be more specific. Jeopardy has existed for many years, aired many questions, and has many fact checkers, and each question is probably checked several times, including for phrasing.

If that is truly the way the answer (question) was phrased, then that's horrible. But you should lay it out in its entirety.

Just saw it...

"ex-ram Willie Gary sued this team for videotaping a 2002 pre-Super Bowl practice."

Aside from practice, which I guess is technically walk-through, this actually happened.

He sued the Pats. I think it was thrown out, or will be thrown out. Not a big deal. Sorry.

Seems like a big deal to me.

Hell, why don't they just throw up "This woman sued Kobe Bryant for raping her in Denver, Colorado".

Having a triva question based on false accusations with never making clear they were indeed false is just irresponsible.

Well, this is the last straw for me.

I'll try

for $1,000, Alec.

I would have really appreciated an "allegedly" in there, but besides that it did happen. That f'ing benchwarmer actually sued a football team over a rumor.

But yeah, I highly doubt we will see "He paid off a woman he reportedly raped in a Boulder hotel room." DING DING DING "Who is Kobe Bryant?"

PFJ, it was under "sports". Just a generic category. Other questions included the addition of the Minnesotta Wild to the NHL, the origin of the term "Formula 1 racing," Kelvin Samson's termination from IU (in a way poorly worded as well), and one other...

This question must have been written by the talking heads a ESPN!!

Oh ok. I figured that was probably the case. Thanks. Very poor and irrelevant question. I hope it wasn't worth much money. BTW, thanks for the link to the comment page.

It wasn't phrased in a way that said "The Patriots videotaped the practice." It was phrased in a way that simply said implied that was the object of the lawsuit...

"ex-ram Willie Gary sued this team for videotaping a 2002 pre-Super Bowl practice."

Nothing wrong there at all.

"ex-ram Willie Gary sued this person for murdering ten young children during a 2002 pre-school massacre."

Nothing wrong there either. It's alright, no need to clarify if his allegations were proven or not.

Seriously you people...do you have to be bitter towards everyone? Jeopardy? Seriously?? Do you know how petty you sound?

It wasn't phrased in a way that said "The Patriots videotaped the practice." It was phrased in a way that simply said implied that was the object of the lawsuit.

You really need to let go...

I am mad as hell about it

You can let Jeopardy know how you feel about it, clickity.

The site includes a message board and there's a thread about each show. I skimmed through the thread about the show in question and there was indeed a brief mention of the sports category that night, but nothing to indicate anyone thought the Pats' question was poorly worded. But in general, the ambiguity or wording of questions is a point of discussion within the 1-2 threads I looked at.
It looks like a great board for any of you die-hard Jeopardy fans too:

Thank you Jeopardy for providing proof of injury to the reputation. Now Bob Kraft can sue the filers of that frivolous law suit.

Yes, then spell it in blood.:)

(My apologies to Joe Pats if the OP edited.)

He was talking how the suit was presented as if it were the end and proved it. They did not say, "ex-ram Willie Gary inappropriately sued this team for videotaping a 2002 pre-Super Bowl practice despite this taping never occuring."

I understood his complaint. Why didn't you?
