Or, since they've been showing Kaczur at guard thus far, they just don't have as much confidence that Neal will be healthy by the start of the season, and that O'Cal is ready for the spotlight.

So is this what you do now, troll? Follow Pats726 all over the forum and launch crappy cheap shots at him regarding Adam Seward? Your act is getting as old as Bob Barker.

Yeah, about as nervous as signing Sammy Morris made Maroney nervous and drafting a QB made Brady nervous.

Typically, if a team determines that a position could be upgraded, they sign and try out various players and then cut the least productive.

However, if a team doesn't like the character of a player, they cut him after determining that his character is not suitable for them. They do not wait until they see if they can get a better replacement because the issue isn't about who is the best player, it is that they don't want that particular player at all.

Wasted words. Trolls don't care what they do or how old their act gets. If they put any thought into their posts they wouldn't be trolls.

Yeah, that's pretty much true. It's easier to just ignore him. I don't like going down that road though so I'll give him one last chance to amuse me. If his next post does not make tears roll down my cheeks or a fart blast out of my butthole from laughter, he's toast.

Maybe you two should just post to the topic and forget about each other.
Also, carrying an issue from one thread to another is not helpful either.

Let it go. Let it goooooo!

Just helpful suggestions to avoid later actions.

Maybe you're talking about Pats726, but this thread was actually the first time I've ever addressed patsgo regarding anything.

I'm addressing everyone. I've sent PM's. Now let it go before I'm forced to do more.

If this cat fight is over I'd like to get back to football ... ;)

Read that link, and Simms seems like he actually would be a decent pickup. Relatively young, plenty of starting experience, and has played LT and both spots on the right side. Plus, he's got the undrafted chip on his shoulder.

Perfect depth signing with spot starter potential.

If one area of depth needs work, IMO, it's the OL.

If he can stop a speed rush, that's even more effective.

And let's not forget that other crucial criterion, facial hair.

Well, he has potential, though the color's a bit off. :)

Re: Pats bringing in OT/G Barry Simms for a visit Wednesday

Looks like the pats might be running a little tired of Nicks addiction.
They are smart though they won't release him outright they'll bring in enough competition to see if he responds on the field or just loses his position.
Anything that strengthens the team I'm all for now san fran may be competition they've been known to overpay he seems to know alex smith.
On the flip side who wouldn't wanna work for a winning organization it just makes you love your job all that much more.

Run-on sentence much? ;)

Not Simms. His time spent at LT and LG for Oakland contributed to their QBs getting killed. He has a shot to earn significant playing time at RT, but otherwise he's a depth signing.

Regards,
Chris

I could not agree more. I'm glad to see the FO giving talent & production a look-see.

NOT relatively young..34 this year...so it's a vet pickup IF they decide to go that way. I had heard last year..off season about Kaczur's party non-work habits..and many had said they thought he would be gone..NOW, it's really come to light and he may be the odd man out. I agree..the one area that needed some work was the OL.
