Official Celtics vs Pistons Game 6 thread

I don't know if I can watch these games with the volume on anymore if they continue to have Van Gundy, Jackson and Breen. Do you think any of the three watched a regular season game of the Celtics this year?

They kill on Rondo, yet anybody who watched the Celtics regularly during the season know he was unquestionably the third best player on the team during the year, and one of the most important players on the team. They constantly give Pierce backhanded compliments about how he's grown defensively, or with ball handling, or with passing, etc., when anyone who has watched Pierce regularly knows he has been playing this way for a long time. It's not just their comments on Rondo or Pierce that are frustrating, their general consensus on our bench, their complete ignorance of our offensive and defensive systems, their generic thoughts re: Ray Allen, KG, Doc, all seem to be completely based on the games they have announced - which I have concluded to be the ONLY games of the Celtics any of them watched this year.

Honestly, these guys are flat out the worst, most ill-informed announcers I have ever heard cover a local team of mine. You could pick random people up off the street and they would have better insight into the Boston Celtics.

I hate to say this because I know that I'm going to get a bunch of negative responses but: It doesn't matter who wins this one, the Lakers are taking the championship.

Just my predicition as a fan who does not root for either team.

Isn't it past your bedtime? :p

Man I had to miss the 1st half for a soccer coaching course. So looks like it was an okay 1st half ... what's the word on the Rip injury? He was faking to get a time out?

Which injury? The elbow from the other night or the leg thing tonight?

If it was tonight, it looked like he took a knee high in the quad area, but it also looks like he's a giant pee u ssy, but he did have ice on his leg after.

the Celts look like they have a chance to win this one. they are holding on to the ball for the most part. they look poised and relaxed out there .especially ray Allen lets hope it stays that way.

i wish TNT had all of the basketball games and as a matter of fact will probably do a better job on MNF too. Ernie johnson and crew is hilarious and smooth.

Theo Ratliffe and his expiring contract are a flop.
Paul had a great drive and should have drawn a blocking foul.

So next year they'll be looking at film of players "flopping" and fining them? Cool.

Apparently the refs have decided not to chance the game getting out of hand...cause that call on PJ was...just...bull.

im starting to feel like i want to jam my head thru a wall:mad: i was hoping that wouldnt happen tonight.

explain that crap on pierce. I dare anyone to explain that.

what does powe have to do to get a foul called for him? Get his head ripped off?

that was a f-ckin bullsh1t call:mad: and sam casell sucks moose C-ck:mad:

Bennett Salvatore - single-handedly taking over this game. This is brutal. Can't see how the NBA would not see the officiating as an embarrassment for the league. As mad as I am, I am truly embarrassed for this crew.

the NBA has the worst officiating out of all the four major sports:mad: its not even close.

I'm not a real basketball guy...but it seems to me that the problem has something to do with the size of the players and speed of the game. There are only three officials out there to keep track of a couple of tons of fast moving flesh, and most of the officials are 74 years old...or they're in their first year and have an attitude.

They should go to a 5 man crew and an instant replay just like the NFL has, 2 challenges per half....

That 3 (4) point play with the faux foul on Pierce has really changed the game.

Cassell should be cut after the game.
