the team is hungry....dam

74 of the 81 on our roster were at a passing camp? oww

Does anyone understand why with Hobson's size, Mangini thought he could play OLB in a 3-4? I don't.

Sheila Manza Young is becoming one of my fave pats writers, too early to tell if she will be another Tom E Curran, but not a lot of the aside bullcrap stuff.. just Pats stuff.

Neither do I. The r-a-t-s' loss is our gain, I hope. I'm looking forward to the fresh blood, and Junior's return, at both ILB and OLB. We also need some of these new CBs to do the job, or at least not totally suck.

Isn't this the second time that Jackson has been singled out for his sharp route running or was this posted a couple of days ago as well? If it is the second time, good things are in sight for Chad.

Well, they had Vilma and Barton inside. The feeling was that Hobson drew the short straw. He clearly was the wrong size for an OLB in the Belichickian 3-4 which Mangini runs.

Harris replaced Vilma.

Ironically, Vilma was totally wrong for that system, too. Or so people said.

I think the real answer is that Mangini is out of his depth.

Aside from the usual stuff like wanting a SB win, a great year for Tommy and a suffocating overal defense, my number one hope for 08 is that Hobson becomes a superstar on the NE defense and Ratgini is made to look like a terrible talent evaluator and coach, in addition to being a duplicitous asstard.

Coulda sworn SMY was not the only source that commented on Jackson looking sharp, though that might be the answer to "is that 3 reports or 2?"

Vilma and Robertson were taken under Herms Edwards, IMO very good players for a 43 base defense. The fact that Mangini took the HC job with this personal group and jettison them a couple of season later tells me some things; he might have been arrogant to think that he can change them to a 34 or he cannot adapt his coaching philosphy to a 43 base defense.

who cares what the jets do. i hope we face them in the AFC Championship game and embarrass them like the Bills did the Raiders in 1990. i dont care who plays LB for us, i dont care who plays DB for us. as long as our defense improves enough for us to win.
