The Denver Post seems to think so.

I find some of this article rather funny. A lot of it ill-informed. Most of it just horribly written. I am glad we have journalists like Reiss to give us our Sunday football notes section instead of this drivel.

The writer seems caught in between two stories here. One on liegate and one on Daniel Graham. Neither got him anywhere.

Yeah, I almost posted it in your thread but I saw you were looking for quotes from "fans". I figured mediot tools from the Rockies did not count as "fans".

Re: Denver's secretive nature, the key to their success vs pats?

According to the writer, there have only been 42 meaningful games played in the last 42 years.

Yeah, this is life in the Rockies.

It reminds me of an old "Graffiti" cartoon that said, "There's no need to be ashamed of poverty...unless you got it dishonestly."

Identical mindset here....

"Many teams were identified as victims, but not the Broncos." Really. How many teams were "victims" of the Broncos cap circumvention? Which I feel was a MUCH more egregious act.

right....like somehow the super bowl means something but all those games that are played that decide who plays in the super bowl are not......according to his logic all the games the broncos beat the pats in do not mean anything. and the pats have only won 3 meaningful games in the history of the team, the broncos have won 2.

where do these people come from and how are they taken seriously?

he might still be upset about the world series. the red sox won 4 meaningful games against the rockies, who won zero against the sox.

Actually the red sox only won 1 meaningful game, because it clinched the Series

We are going to blow the Broncos out this season, 42-3.

Yawn, he's right... I'm not even going to watch football this year, it's boring. Can someone send me an e-mail or something if the Pats make it to the Super Bowl? I don't feel like wasting my time watching "meaningless" games

Re: Denver's secretive nature, the key to their success vs pats?

Since the authors entire assumption is that the Pats can't beat the Broncos because they can't get signals off of them, I wanted to outline all of the games against the Broncos.

2001 season: Pats lose to the Broncos as Tom makes only his 5th career start while Bledsoe is injured.
2002 season. Yes, the Pats lose to the Broncos...but they also don't make the playoffs.
2003 season. Pats beat the Broncos. Go on to win SB.
2004 season. Pats don't play Broncos. A fair assumption would be that if we did, we wouldve beat them. :D Go on to win SB.
2005 season. Pats lose regular season game to Broncos. Broncos are 13-3 this season, the Pats are 10-6. Broncos are clearly the better of the two teams this season. Pats lose to the Broncos during the divisional round of the playoffs. BS PI call on A$ante and 5 interceptions aid the Pat's loss.
2006 season. Pats lose to the Broncos 17-7. This is the only game you could question if you really wanted to. However, Patriots have no offensive threats and Dillon was injured in first half.
2007 season. Pats don't play Bronocs.

So, I guess I'm missing the authors point here.

In 2000, Belichick's first year with New England, he notches his first win with the Pats at Denver. No way he has tapes of anything for that game.

Incredible...

These "journalists" make me feel like I could be a sports writer too.

Yes, tapes sure didn't help us that season...I think we were 5-11 if I'm not mistaken. Of course the author leaves out 2000 and goes from 2001.

Re: Denver's secretive nature, the key to their success vs pats?

I think what may have happened is the editors at the Denver Post wanted to cast some doubt on the Pats after this previous article resulted in unfavorable comments from the newspaper's customers - Bronco fans.

Re: Denver's secretive nature, the key to their success vs pats?

As for Graham, chances are he's younger than you think. That 2002 Super Bowl when the Patriots didn't illegally videotape, but did illegally observe, the walkthrough of their heavily favored opponent, the St. Louis Rams?

What does that even mean? So many of his statements are just plain wrong, and I think it's reasonable to question whether this guy ever passed a high school English class with his terrible grammar.

Wow. That's a great find!

I'm a pessimist. They should but something weird will happen. A minor earthquake or something, maybe a meteor's strike. Anyway, the Broncos will beat the Patriots QBed by Miller or something. (Larry Izzo has to play the majority of snaps, etc.)

Re: Denver's secretive nature, the key to their success vs pats?

i hope those chop blocking, cheap shot artists do feel "cheated".
