Celtics Doing What Patriots Could Not

The Celtics are 5 wins + a lead with 3 minutes left in the 6th away from "equalling" what the Pats did. Very misleading headline.

Celtics will be as big an underdog in the finals, if they get there, as the NYG were IMO. Besides, do we REALLY need our nose rubbed in it ?

Awesome title.

Did I sleep through the NBA Finals? Who won? What was the fluke play that brought down the Celtics after they were enormous favorites?

It's a terribly written article in general. I had to stop partway. Thanks for the effort.

Furious onslaught :confused::confused:

Boston sportswriters never cease to amaze me.

Didn't read the article (so I don't know if it struck a nerve or something and was very Pro-Celtics/Anti-Pats and caused you to make a bitter post towards the Celtics. Based on the title and responses, it seems pretty negative and I've got no interest in hearing/reading more Anti-Pats stuff. I've had enough of it over the last 8-9 months) but...

The Celtics will more than likely be favored in the finals if they get there and if they aren't favored...it certainly won't be as big an underdog as the Giants were.

You may be right as they would have home court but I would put big money on the Western Conference winner if I were a gambler; which I'm not. Watch the games :D

Then again if the SB was best of 7 (even 3) then the Pats win.

The Celtics will have absolutely no chance of being the favorite in Vegas (which is all that matters), which suits me fine since I'll be betting on them either way. Living in California, I might hear more of this than most, but everyone seems to think that this is the Lakers' year. They seem to forget that Pierce and Garnett match up pretty well, defensively, to Kobe and Gasol (remember, Pierce basically shut down LeBron for 5 games). I'd pick the Celtics to win that finals, though Kobe would probably end up making me regret it.

Jeezus...I though Ian was holding amateur columnist auditions or something. Maybe he should. :violent:

Wow, we're a tough crowd.

I love us.

The Celtics are so far so good. Of course that is what the blond said as shewas passingthe34th floor of the skyscraper she fell off of.

Huh??? I didn't realize the Celts were in the finals??

How many championships have the Celtics won in the past 7 years?

Didn't BB have Bill Russell come and address the Pats during the 2003 Preseason (my years might be off)?

What Rivers needs to do is to play the Celtics a DVD of Super Bowl XLII.

no ... what Doc needs to so it tell Rondo to take those damm 15 ft shots
when he is wide open and no one covering him!!!!!!

Did you read the freakin' column? Don't, because it might ruin your day and challenge your faith in the printed word.

Question for Ian: WHY is Bob George writing for this site?
