First off, pardon me for my second straight ESPN related thread.

But just wanted to give everyone a head's up that Wes will be on NFL Live today, which is airing right now.

Interview will be later in the show.

"So Wes, how many catches do you think you would have had if the Pats weren't the biggest cheaters ever?"

Pass.

Re: Wes Welker: Being interviewed on NFL Live Today.

I am recording it. I am not hoping for anything groundbreaking. They won't say crap until AFTER his interview.

Re: Wes Welker: Being interviewed on NFL Live Today.

Imagine how high the ratings would soar if he stood up and punched out Trey Wingo. Alas, we do not live in that kind of world.

Re: Wes Welker: Being interviewed on NFL Live Today.

um, tell us what he says.

Re: Wes Welker: Being interviewed on NFL Live Today.

so much about pats players avoiding ESPN...
i wish they did.

Re: Wes Welker: Being interviewed on NFL Live Today.

From your perspective, what has been player’s reaction to Spygate?
For us, it's just been going out are business, doing are job week in and week out.

You have to deal with it now and during the last season, how did you guys handle?
It was just going about our business, coach BB does a great job of just preparing us and that's our complete focus. Anything away from that is going to take away from our ultimate goal.

How difficult has the off-season been after the Super Bowl loss and new scandal?
It's just part of it; the Pats have been on top for a long time and we just got to keep that going. I'm not worried about all the outside things; just continue to get better during the off-season.

How will you use all this to your advantage in 08?
The same way we always had, everything outside of football is not going to make a difference in what we're doing. Our motivation is going out there to play the best kind of football we can.

Nothing at all really, just as BB has them trained.

One positive out of all this........keeps this team all together, united against all outsiders.

They have the us versus them mentality and inside that locker room they are totally focused on winning football games.

I could not imagine a better way to insure they are motivated together to win.

It's all positive unless we lose in the playoffs, then, to some on this board, it will be THE reason that we lost.

On the other hand, Wes did say "you know" 17 times. :D

Ya know, I don't think this really, ya know, makes any difference in what the guy, ya know, has to say. I mean, ya know, Welker's play kind of, ya know, speaks for itself. Ya know?

Our players have no business going anywhere near that pathetic station. We have no friends there. But I won't hold it against you Wes. :D

Screw the guy. First, he does absolutely nothing for us last season and now he goes on ESPN?! What a waste of a perfectly good trade. ;)

Imagine that - espn has the leading receiver from last season, who started in the super bowl, and can't think of one on field game related question to ask him.

Yet another example of proof of their agenda, in my opinion.

Wes should have avoided the interview altogether. Props to him for being able to put up with those morons and their spygate nonsense.

how stupid is this kind of a question ? "How will you use all this to your advantage in 08 ?"

shows how much of interviewing skills are needed for these guys at espn.

In all seriousness, what the hell was a Patriot doing on that station? I am tired of them running their mouths and NOTHING happening out of Foxboro.
