Will Buffalo make the playoffs this year?

I hate the Bills and the only thing I hate more are Bills fans.

And I stand by what I post, the Bills will not make the playoffs, they will not beat the Patriots in either game they play, and they will have a losing record.

And in about 5 years, the team will move to Toronto and if the new ownership is smart, they will leave the Bills idenity in Buffalo. I like the name Toronto Pythons.

Now, does anybody seriously think that the Bills' OL is on par with the Patriots, the Colts, or the Steelers?

I never disagreed with you about the O-Line not being elite. But it is good enough to get the team into the playoffs. See, I ususally don't comment on how the Jets did in the free agency period because I absolutely, positively cannot be objective toward that team. I hate them and their fans that much. I suggest you take the same road for Buffalo fans.

And yes, I think the Bills will win the wild card barring injuries like last year. Yes, I think they will beat the Pats in the last game (only because we'll probably be resting our starters). However, they will probably get blown out again in the first game.

While I do not think the Bills OL is on par with the Pats and colts here are some numbers for you to divulge

Sacks allowed 2007:

Pats-21
Colts-23
Bills-26
Steelers-47

Way to compare the Steelers as an elite OL...you are truly an assclown and should actually watch a football game once and a while

Keep in mind the Bills only allowed 26 sacks with 2 different QB's behind center one of which was a ROOKIE and with 2 NEW members of the line in Dockery and Walker, and had a rookie RB who missed games rush for 100 yds.

Ok, Sacks allowed is only one stat and is not the only thing that you rate OL on. Does the OL open holes for the RB to make the play for example? I think that the Bills OL is woefully inadequate in that regards. Maybe I gave the Steelers too much credit for their OL, but they make the playoffs and win their division, do the Bills?

As for K, I think that you are giving the Bills too much credit. I do not see any real improvement in that team, is Edwards going to be any better than Loseman? At this point, it looks the same to me. Their draft picks and free agent signings leave me underwhelmed.

Last year the Bills lose to Playoff bound teams and barely beat teams with losing records, e.g. the Bengals by 3. So I really don't see any real improvement that suggests that they will make the playoffs before the Jaguars, Titans, or Browns.

Also please note that I don't need to refrain to namecalling unlike the Bills fan.

You are a joke. Why dont you actually watch a Bills game before you make a comment like this...

If you would have taken the time to watch more than one Bills game you would know that their Oline improved by leaps and bounds and they were in the top half of the league in sacks allowed and had a ROOKIE runner back (who missed games) rush for more than 1,000 yds.

true, he did an a good job at RB, but the oline does suck most of the time.

what makes you think BB is going to rest the starters? Aint going to happen.

.

A.High quality english ;)

B.You are right, at this point it does look the same with Losman and Edwards but I give the slight edge to Edwards

one thing you forget to point out Edwards was a ROOKIE Losman was in his fourth year.....So in that regard there is NO comparsion

Edwards got thrown into the lineup midseason...Can't wait to see what he does with a full yr. of OTA's and Training camp and an added Target in Hardy...Look I'm not saying he is Brady, but dont jump to stupid conclusions after one year

There is room for Edwards to grow, JP hit his celing

Open your eyes and quit being such a biased fan

C. "There draft leaves me underwhelmed"....Once again a biased post from an ignorant opposing fan

-The Bills got the best CB on the board in McKelvin and a WR in Hardy who scored a TD in college every 5.3 receptions (36tds)...These are 2 players who will make an impact. They also got a good situational pass rusher in the 3rd round in Ellis go back and watch his game film on Chester Gelisous (sp) the tackle from BC that he dominated. If you actually watch film you will see Matt Ryan on his back....

-In regards to the Bills FA signings it is a general consensus among the national media that they were top 5 in FA moves.. but I guess since "T-Bone" on patsfans.com dosnt agree their FA period MUST have been garbage

- That was prob. a waste of time because judging by your posts i'm assuming I am talking to a 15 yr old and it will prob. go in one ear and out the other

LMAO!!! Marshawn Lynch ran all over the place last season. And he was a rookie. I always hate to side with a Bills fan over a Pats fan, but you truly have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

If both you guys are so high on the Bills then explain to me why:

They had a losing record last season

They failed to make the playoffs for the last ten years.

USA Today had them ranked toward the bottom of their power rankings.

So where are you getting all this nonsense that the Bills are any good, they are at best a 7-9 team.

And I am not resorting to name calling like you two, so if you want to continue to have a civil discussion with me, I suggest you refrain. I really don't expect a Bills Fan to understand that, but I do expect a tad better from my fellow Patriots fans.

Still waiting for a response.....its funny when people know they are wrong they just move on to the next thing ;)

You bore me, why don't you just go to a site like the Stadium Wall where you can continue with your Bills fantasy lovefest with people who buy into the whole, "The Bills are so great with the changes they made, they are going to make the playoffs for sure".

And when the season starts and the Bills are 2 and 6 by midseason and you guys are all crying about how bad the team is, know that I will be laughing.

If both you guys are so high on the Bills then explain to me why:

They had a losing record last season
-Injuries severely depleted that team. Not to mention they were starting a rookie quarterback most of the time. It's impressive in itself that they even went 7-9.

They failed to make the playoffs for the last ten years.
-You could say the same about the Pats before '01.

USA Today had them ranked toward the bottom of their power rankings.
-Oh, I didn't know that! Well I guess that's it for the Bills this season!

So where are you getting all this nonsense that the Bills are any good, they are at best a 7-9 team.
-They were a 7-9 team with a rookie QB, RB, and devestating injuries last year. As a healthy team and Edwards with another year under him, the Bills are wild card contenders.

-Where did I call you names? You made a completely false statement, I called you out on it, and said you didn't know what the hell you were talking about. I still stand by what I said.

My responses are in the quoted fields.

I may have posted falsely in regards to name calling, your lovefest with the Bills clouded my judgement.

I stand by what I believe, the Bills will not make the playoffs and will be at best 7-9 again if not worst. By midseason, they will be at best 2-6.

Yes, of course I have a love fest with the Bills when I say they will make the playoffs. I think I'll actually take what you say seriously when you can actually make thoughtful, coherent sentences based with facts instead of talking out of your ass.

Strange statement coming from a Patriots' fan, maybe you would be better off hanging out on a Bills site with the rest of those having serious delusions about how good the Bills are.

Translation: I got schooled so badly in this thread that I cannot offer any comeback whatsoever so I will instead try to offer up schoolyard insults which, in themselves, also suck really bad.

Come on, man. You have to at least give me SOMETHING to work with. :bricks:

You have to figure that the Pats, Colts, Jags, Steelers, and Chargers are all but assured of making the playoffs in the AFC. That leaves one wild card slot for the Bills to contend for along with the Titans, Browns, Broncos and whoever else. Anything is possible, we've witnessed bigger turnarounds - but I don't think it's realistic to expect the Bills to make the playoffs this year.

You are boring me.

So bored that you respond to his comment from 17 hours ago. We'll just consider this the white towel.

So would a better strategy have been to wait six and a half days like you did and then respond. Please let me know oh wise poster of the internet.

I never said anything about being bored.

Face it, you lost this argument and a few others, if I've read correctly.
