Celtics vs Pistons Game 1 Thread

Rondo!! Agreed with Wildo. This guy is a master pickpocket.

Pierce is so clutch! Game over, Pistons.

Great game! Garnett and Pierce OWNED the Pistons. Good way to start the series. Ray Allen can you hit any jump shots at all?

A really good game all around. Rondo was was excellent defensively. Offensively he should take more shots, especially when he gets an open look. He can drain them.

Great game from the Celtics ... Garnett made Sheed look ill ... I loved it. Rip and Chauncey were non factors. Tayshaun is their "Z" and he's not going to beat you ... absolutely inneffective against Pierce. Perhaps they'll gamble with Rip Hamilton on Pierce but it won't work ... they cannot stop Pierce or Garnett and we will win on the road this time ... :p;):D:D

Agreed, very solid. At least Allen played well on D though. He can only miss so many shots before he gets in the zone right?

If Allen was hitting his shots right now, the Pistons would be screwed. Pierce and Garnett are totally in the zone.

we did it , we are 1-0 , three to go !

Good game overall, offense was clicking (minus allen and his jumpshot), defense was solid, I am really liking our bench, house is doing okay, Powe has stepped it up, love posey, and don't even get me started on Brown's latest efforts.

PJ keeps it up and someone may want to sign him for 3 years... :p

Jesus, what happened to Ray Allen? This guy used to be the most cluth three point shooter in the game and now when he shoots it looks like me trying to hit a shot from half court with my back turned to the rim. Just terrible. Good win tonight, though. Anytime the Pistons lose, it makes me happy. Now if L.A. can just knock out San Antonio and get the "as boring as watching paint dry" Spurs out of the playoffs in four.

As much as it t pains me to watch the Spurs, who I do respect, they're going to beat the Lakers in 6 games. Terrible match up for the Lakers. No answer for Duncan, Kobe has to face Bowen, and who guard Manu & Parker? Lakers aren't happy right now. Gasol isn't going to like the Spurs aggressive, physical style.

After last night, it looks like you're absolutely correct. :bricks:

Wow did SA choke last night. How do you blow a 20 point lead with 3-4 minutes to go in the 4th quarter? I'm curious to see how that game affects the series. Had SA simply lost, then I'd still feel the same way as I did prior, but blowing such a huge lead like that makes me wonder if there will be series altering ramifications. The LAL's now know they can come back from any deficit, nevermind win games against SA. I still like the Spurs, but last night was rough for them.

I actually like the Lakers in 7. The only reason why the Lakers were in the hole throughout the game was because KB24 was trying way too hard to get his teammates involved and didn't do enough himself. Finally, he took control of the game and exploded. Not even Bruce Bowen could cover him. I think Kobe knows what he needs to do now and Gasol can at least contain Duncan underneath. Lakers in 7.
