At the new Oil Losers Stadium in that hicks town - More info to come

Well the Super Bowl hosts home team has never won or been to a Super Bowl and stands at 0-42 right now so forget 2012 Indy

Think Polian helped in getting that done? - Yeah,I thought so

Re: Indianapolis gets to host Super Bowl 46 in 2012

When Tony Dungy tells us all how much he is longing to retire to go minister to prisoners, but ultimately decides he wants to come back for another season, he has his excuse for 2011. So he just needs a couple of more for 2009 and 2010 and he's set. ;)

Super. How great would that be to win in the Super Bowl in that town and under their roof.

Oh, my....I'm sure I could die happy.

Hopefully they can get some electricity, running water and pavement in by then :)

Will they remove the huge sized hidden speakers used to fake crowd noise in time for the game or will they just leave them there?

I hope they don't pump up the heat and get the stadium too hot either as there will be alot of fans there.

When will Boston host SB at our stadium.?

With 1 billidion dollars, i'm sure that Kraft can afford it.

Massachusetts, in February, in an open air stadium. (Not to mention it's Foxborough ;))

:D

"Get your mittens and earmuffs, son, we're going to the Super Bowl!"

Not sure why people are dumping on Indy for hosting the SB. (Other than that they are Indy.) I think it's good for the league to reward teams who drop a ton of $$$ on new stadiums. It encourages development.

On a side note, it would be pretty amazing to play the AFCG in that Stadium in 2012 and then come back 2 weeks later.

Or, when arranging travel for the AFCG the Pats could book their return flight for Feb 3rd. :)

Would be awesome of the Super Bowl was played outside in a snow storm. :rocker:

Look for the NFL to pimp a Manning v Manning Super Bowl ...

One day for the sheep to be safe anyways.

I can't wait for everyone to get sick of the Mannings one day. Hopefully, ESPN will shove them down our throats enough to the point where everyone hates them (ala us last year).

Classic.. did not know it was domed until today, but then again gotta make sure Adam and Peyton can not deal with the weather.. bunch of freaking wusses..

The Colts started 13-0 in '05 and ESPN pimped them just as hard (and almost all love). I think it's going to take a lot for the Colts to become hated... probably at least another two Super Bowls.

I don't think they'll get that far, though. :D

For someone who has been lucky to go to two Super Bowls, Indy is a horrible place to have a Super Bowl. Part of what makes going to the Super Bowl so much fun is all the stuff going on before and after the Super Bowl. I don't think Indy in February is condusive for the pre and post game activities.

The best one I went to was the one where the Pats filmed the walkthrough of.... ummm... I mean....played the Rams in New Orleans. What was great about the Super Bowl besides the game was that everything was in one area and all the outdoor activities. Everything was in the French quarter or in the surounding areas. You could walk to from bar to bar and find another Patriots crowd doing something. Every day you could go down to the warf an heckle Jon Gruden, Steve Young, and Sterling Sharpe while they broadcasted their Sportcenter segments. There were a bunch of outdoor concerts outside the Superdome before the game.

I guess they decided to play it in Indy because the league wants to be assured that the home team doesn't play in the Super Bowl.

Nothing will be better than when the Pats are in the SB and we can remind the Colt trolls being in the SB is better than hosting the SB.

Heck no. It would be amazing to have them come here for the AFCCG, and then "visit" their turf. :D

I have been to the 4 superbowls this decade and the one in New Orleans was definitely the best site. So good we even flew in to New Orleans for SB38 and hung there for a day or two before driving over to houston.

IMO Houston, Jacksonville, and Arizona were lame places compared to New Orleans. I think it should be in New Orleans every year.

IMO other than wether Indy is just as dull as those 3 spots.

Final IMO, It is about the game and I like the idea of playing in the new Stadiums.....The best part of the trips other than the games and New Orleans was being able to see the new stadiums in Zona and Houston.....jacksonville just shouldnt have had it, average Stadium below average site, only thing they had was wheather.
