I'm requesting that none of these be posted here in the forum. While I understand the amount of hatred many of you may have for either of these two, we will not tolerate distasteful and threatening inuendos that are posted here and will issue suspensions and/or bans in the event people can't adhere to this policy.

I would like to think that everyone here is above that type of behavior, so please refrain from these posts going forward. - Ian

Actually I think this Sticky pretty much covers it. Anyone who posted a comment like that about Tomassee or Spectre just wanted to voice their hatred and the fact that you needed to put this sticky up urging people not to really speaks to the collective voice of the group.

Those are uncalled for..totally....but I think a stinky makes a point...Thanks...although I HOPE everyone on here already understands that...

Um... what about having a separate message board for the Spygate fodder?

Thanks Ian. Outsiders dismiss all of us if even a small handful use hate language.

BTW, I do think it's a fair question to ask whether Sen. Specter's course of treatment and the medications he's taking may have altered his judgment, as his actions and comments re Spygate have been out of character with the reputation for fairness that he has built over the years, even to the point where people who agree with him are suggesting that his behavior has been erratic.

But, that's a far cry from wishing him ill. On that score, I wish him good health and peaceful days with his family.

As for Tomasse, I can't think of anything good to say. The man is reprehensible and a lowlife, but hs is entitled to live that life free from threats.

My goodness, most disappointing that any Patriot fan or any sane person would stoop so low so as to threaten a Senator in poor health or a simple newspaper person.

Grow up people, it's only football.

I wish Spector a speedy recovery and would love to see him in the stands the next time we beat his beloved Eagles or Steelers. I wish he would learn about the game and stealing signals and what abuse of power means.

I wish no harm to come to Tomase or his family and am embarrassed to think that anyone from here or Patriot nation would. I wish he would get smart and start treating the team and his readers with a little respect and his job with properly sourced information along with facts & truth.

Let's all show some class New England, we are fans of the best team that ever was and maybe even will ever be....act as if we belong.

That has been brought up to Ian. It's not being ignored. But I think the consensus is to wait a while to see if things calm down.

Well said. You also make an excellent point about threads and posts like this seem to make us all look that way, which is certainly not the case.

So This isn't the thread to put our death threats and cancer wishes to Tomase and Spectior?

Whew - when I saw the title of this thread I thought you were encouraging people to post such garbage.

Now I see you were just trying to get our attention and warn off those who might post before they think.

What if they are just paper cut threats and wishes of severe colds?:D

"Death threats and cancer wishes to Tomase and Specter"

So then threatening Bob Ryan and Greg Easterbrook is Ok... cool. :rocker::eek::rolleyes:

Only up to and including warts. Once we cross the wart line, things can get out of hand.

In spite of the humor, Ian's point should be taken seriously. I don't think any of the moderators want to be put in the position that they have to take some action with posters here.

This is a good thread and really ... simply praising Tomase for his journalistic dishonesty is description enough ... ;)

I agree with Ian to not wish death upon these idividuals. They should live long lives and endure the ridicule and scorn they have earned through their own words.

Live long and prespire, Johnny!

Same goes for you crypt-keeper and probable father of John Clayton!

I wish them both many long years of life watching the Patriots hoist a few more Lombardis:)

Let them just go away.

Are they dead yet?

No, I'll check back later. :(

And that's how you make a horrible joke funny.

Oh, it's not. I'll check back later.
