So now that it's all said and done, the Patriots turned the 28th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft into Randy Moss & Jerod Mayo :D

I guess that works.

Plus a second-round pick next year.

More precisely, they turned last year's 1st and 3rd into Moss, Mayo, Crable, and a 2nd round pick in 2009.

Even more precisely, they turned a 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th into Moss, Mayo, Crable, Slater, and a 2nd.

OK, let's compare here:
* The Patriots trade #28 and #92 in 2007 and get Moss, Mayo, Crable, and a second-rounder in 2009.
* The Vikings trade #17 and two third-rounders in 2008 and get Jared Allen.

I dunno, but I think the Pats came out just a bit further ahead here. :rocker:
