I know this was brought up in September, and I'm normally not one to complain and will just skp posts I don't want to read, but right now I believe EVERY SINGLE PAGE 1 POST is on SpyGate. This is insane.

Do you think we should add a temporary SpyGate forum?

This has been a rough time for Pats fans and IMO it's important to let people vent loudly. Once minicamp starts people will naturally become reengaged with actual football, just as many were at draft time. In the time being I don't see the need to segregate LIEgate opinions.

I wouldn't mind having a separate forum. I find myself reading them, despite a lack of interest, because they are the only thing available.

Leave it in the main forum. It will eventually run its course. It just happens to be a hot current topic at the moment and most members want to be up on it.

I don't know, I hear the "it will run its course" POV, but I mean if draft threads were being moved/confined to the draft forum up to the day of the draft, I see no reason why we couldn't do the same with SG threads. It's just one click away...

Tune is right. The volume of threads on a particular topic on this board usually fall in line with the volume of media coverage of a particular topic.

Tough game coming up on Sunday?

Sure and the mods will be Tomase, Specter, and Schlereth.

How about a separate forum for all the juicy gossip? We could call it the sewing circle. :D

Yes, because then I don't have to remind idiots that it is in the freaking news, the blooming Commissioner talking is relevant and there are no flipping games.

Of course, it is too late. Camera-gate is in its death throes.

I agree with Tune as well...THIS wrrk it's been Walsh, Goodell, the Herald, Specter and Tomase.....all in one big week....I do not think a forum is needed as this will be absorbed and football will go on..and this story will slowly go away...

No...There should be a permanent Spygate forum. I'm sure we'll get a bunch of West Coast yahoos in here during the next season who don't know anything about it other than what they've heard on ESPN.

It's over! Just Specter and and a few media dumbies will bring it up. But, it's over. If posters want to bring this stuff to the board when it's brought up, that's their choice.

There is no need for a separate froum for something that's over.

There's a forum for 2006 Training Camp and Photos...

But those come back every year and people may enjoy looking at them during the off season.

Spygate won't be coming back very year and anyone who enjoys looking at the threads a year form now is, well, a little different.

You hope Spygate won't be coming back every year (I do too)...but every time the Pats play a team they haven't played since the incident will keep bringing up what they half-remember hearing on ESPN.

To avoid explaining the finer details over and over again, why not have a Spygate forum so the can get their facts straight and not bother us with the same old questions.

Yes. God yes we should. How would it be any different than the separate training camp forums meant to keep flood-like posts out of this forum?

Exactly. I don't understand the "in the news" argument. The week leading up to the draft, any post remotely related to the draft is moved to the Draft Forum, and the draft is the *only* thing to talk about; however, I personally feel there is a lot more to talk about than SG yet that's all that is on the first page.

OK I'll bring it up to Ian. He will be the one to decide.

EDIT: I sent the request off to Ian and the other mods. It will be discussed and Ian will make the final determination.
