Re: Walsh to speak on HBO

MATT WALSH: “When I was doing it, I understood what we were doing to be wrong. We went to great lengths to keep from being caught.

That certainly doesn't jive with at least 2 facts that we know:
- Coaches waving at the cameraman on the video
- Matt Estrella videotaping with no attempt to hide himself on the sideline

I'm sure most of these other 'revelations' are just as grounded in fact....

Re: Walsh to speak on HBO

He's trying to break the "you know" world records.

Re: Walsh to speak on HBO

Walsh made this comment.

Walsh says that a Patriots quarterback also told him that the spying effort had yielded remarkable success.

Why the hell didn't anyone ask him that if it yielded remarkable success, how did they manage to lose that game to TB 21-16 and finish up at 5-11 for the season?
That's remarkable success? Caught in lies again and no one questions him on it.

Not counting pre-season (which would be stupid), the Pats had 4 repeat games in 2000. The Pats scored more points in the 2nd game just once. The Pats' opponents scored more points in the 2nd game 3 times.

Maybe Walsh was talking about the remarkable success spying yielded to the Pats' opponents?

And I hadn’t even come out with any definitive information against them. I never said that we videotaped the Rams’ walk-through, I never came out, I was very, you know, as non-committal as I could in any of the answers I gave, yet they still went to great lengths to try to discredit me. You know, and still to this day, you know, the commissioner says I’ve just presented information that he already knew? Which would mean information before I even talked in the first place? So, well, why put me through all this. If I didn’t do anything to them.

We'll see if Tomase outs him as the source and shows walsh to be a liar.
He's trying to play the victim here when he's the one that put himself in this positon by opening his big mouth.
It came to this because he made it, what a you know, he's a, you know moron, you know

Re: Walsh to speak on HBO

I said it on the other threads but this is just what Matt Walsh does - embellish recollections to blow smoke up his own ass...

For god sakes, he's not even a competent signal taper and he saved tapes to make a case that someone should hire him one day as a coach...

Why not name the quarterback if this story is true? Is he trying to imply that the quarterback is Brady? The more he talks the more trouble he will get into. Why doesn't Kramer(or whatever her name is) ask him how he got Levy?

Re: Walsh to speak on HBO

I wonder if he is getting paid for this interview. You know the Patriots will be watching closely to see if they can catch him in a lie.

Who believes that one?
We'll all be watching to see if we can catch him in a lie, and guys like this always trip themselves up.

really depends who interviews him. if its costas , you can expect another anti-BB interview where he will try and put words in his mouth.

Re: Walsh to speak on HBO

This is what it comes down to.
Walsh wants so badly to think what he did was important to the success of the Patriots.
He thinks he really was part of the team.

He's like that scumbag Carlo from "The Godfather".
That's the best analogy I can come up with.
He was never really part of the family.

Ka ching, would think he would not do it for any more face time.. money has to be involved, no other reason to keep looking like the ass clown he has become.

He is being interviewed by Andrea Kramer, read the soft ball stuff.. wonder if she will ask him about his illegal activities of secretly taping meetings with Scott Pioli?? Probably not, Bill bad everyone else good.

Its my understanding that as part of the agreement he signed with the league and with the Pats, he cant profit off of either the tapes or his personal accountances of any of this experience. If he is being paid by HBO or any other outlet, that profit cleared will got to a charity of the NFL's choosing. The guy's gotta wait 5 years to financially benefit from this thing. I do believe. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

I agree with you. I recall reading in some of the excerpts from the HBO piece that will be aired soon, commenting on how BB couldnt pick him out of a lineup, and he seemed to take prided in the fact that he was in the same team picture with Belichick 3 times. Maybe seeing that picture would help Belichick recall. No offense to camera guys across the country, but what the hell are those guys doing in a TEAM picture?? Walsh seemed to really enjoy making that point. Of course I only read it, didnt pick up on actual tone, so who knows. He seems like a cheesy, cheesy guy.

Re: Walsh to speak on HBO

I did not realise that he was in the 2001 SB pic till the other day.... Whatever, it is what it is... I dont care anymore, its a joke and a witch hunt..

He has already violated his agreement, IMO.
