Paper apologizes to Pats
A Boston newspaper issues a front-page apology to the Patriots for a false story.

I know of one person who saw (not someone who follows football too closely) that and assumed the whole spygate issue was a fabrication (not just the Rams game)

Another unrelated "upside": If Senator Sphincter really wants a "Mitchell style" investigation into this whole affair, then that means investigating the ENTIRE NFL, not just the Pats, for unscrupulous practices. After all, the Mitchell committee didn't single out just one team, but investigated the whole of MLB. Go ahead Sphincter, bring it on, and I bet you really do get to the bottom of this.....but not like you intend.

I agree 1000%. I welcome a full on investigation. But not only of the Patriots. I say the whole issue deserves investigation. The only thing that bothers me about this whole issue is that it is suggested by many that the Patriots are the only team that bends/breaks rules. How about Indy pumping music into speakers when opposing offenses are on the field, or teams watering field to slow down faster teams, or the Giants opening the doors to one end of the stadium only when it was at their teams back (and into the face of opposing offense). Certainly these things are done illegally to gain a competitive advantage. Again, I say bring on an investigation.
