If you go back and read the transcript from the Rush Limbaugh interview that was posted here (sorry, don't know how to link a thread), it is pretty clear what Spector says.

After what Walsh said yesterday, and after today's apology in the Herald, I think the Old Coot from PA should be offering up a big fat "My Bad" at his press conference today.

Although he is such a slimy politician he will probably surround his apology with ten new accusations.

Yeah, right! The day Specter apologizes for that I'll have to go to town hall to get a pig hunting license the same way you would hunt for birds.

HA! An apology will never happen from that ridiculous man..

I still want to know how a career politician became a millionaire?!

Did the Kennedy Family get an apology for the Magic Bullet Theory? Didn't think so...

The only way Spector apologizes is if Comcast tells him to, and I don't see that happening.

He could also have done it the same way both John McCain and John Kerry did--marry into it.

That's both funny and sad, sad because there's a good chance there's some truth to that statement !

I would be completely stunned if Spector backed off, I suspect he'll want an investigation into Walsh passing information to a coach about the RAM's walkthrough. He'll also ask for access to Ernie Adams, which he won't get unless he makes his inquiry official.

Thankfully, the Herald backed off, but Spector may still try to get the name of thier source so he can dig deeper.

He'll also attack Goodell, blaming him for this taking so long because they didn't just give Walsh what he wanted right off the bat.

Trust me, this guy is an seasoned politition, if he backs off, his actions and comments up to this point, will be someone else's fault !

Hopefully, I'll be stunned in a pleasent way, I'll know in 10 Minutes

Wow! What a douche. Wants an independant investigation!

Did you really think Specter was going to give an apology to the Patriots? Anyone who didn't expect Specter was going to claim that the investigation needed to go on and that information was ignored have been living under a rock.

It was quite clear that Specter was going to spin this as the league didn't do a proper investigation.

Re: Will The Pats Get An Apology From Spector Today?

There is no way that Specter will let the spygate incident go away because it is the only thing that he can keep bugging Goodell. Of course, he didn't like what he heard from Walsh and it is the reason he wants to have a Mitchell report on NFL.

Re: Will The Pats Get An Apology From Spector Today?

Specter, based on an interview with Walsh and other research, also asserted that although Walsh did not tape opposition practices between 2003 and 2005 -- a gap much remarked upon in the sports media -- other Patriots' personnel did tape such sessions during those years.

Excuse me Senator? I think you'll be hearing from Gregg Levy sir.

He can call for anything he wants to save face. Without subpoena power the independent investigator can do nothing. Besides if we can find mountains of evidence it has been going on for years, so will an independent investigator.

Of course, I'm assuming the investigator is not just another comcast stooge.

Re: Will The Pats Get An Apology From Spector Today?

you never hear goverment apologize ever. even on the very rare accasion they admit they made a mistake, they do not apologize. usually they find a way to blame someone else...and that is what spector is doing

Re: Will The Pats Get An Apology From Spector Today?

this is just being said so he can point the blame at someone else insted of admit he was wrong and wasted everyones time and money. nothing will come out of it

Re: Will The Pats Get An Apology From Spector Today?

How about if we all take up a collection, hire a prostitute to seduce Sen. Specter and then take uncompromising photo's to be published across the land:D

Man, I LOVE that idea!

Re: Will The Pats Get An Apology From Spector Today?

We might get the following things from Specter: a resignation letter and early retirement.
