This is the remnants of the story...these will peter out in a few days.

He's only saying that because of all the cheerleaders.

WALSH DIDN’T TAPE CHARGERS GAME
Posted by Mike Florio on May 13, 2008, 4:50 p.m.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that Matt Walsh was not the person who videotaped defensive coaching signals of the Patriots-Chargers game from 2002.

Walsh was no longer working in the video department at the time.

The source reached out to us in this regard, and possibly will be reaching out to others in the media as well. The apparent reason for the clarification in this regard is that the video contains some gratuitous close-up shots of the Chargers cheerleaders “performing” a routine, which might have gotten Mr. Walsh in hot water with Mrs. Walsh.

Wow, at the time they were only dating and not to be married for a few years.

We already knew this...

Walsh was a scouting assistant in 2002. We knew this months ago. This thread, honestly, is pointless, although you do have to wonder how Walsh got his hands on the tape.

And also why he hasn't sent it to me yet.

Actually, its not pointless Pats1. Particularly if you listened to what Walsh's reasoning was for having the tapes. Which was to have some proof of what he did for his resume.

If he wasn't the one to tape the Chargers game, then why did he have the tape since it would be lying for him to use it to try and get a job.

Its another ding in Walsh's credibility.

I agree with you, but I did find it a bit funny that it took some of the mediots at the press conference today hours to figure out Matt Walsh wasn't even a video assistant with the Pats in 2002.

Anyway, if you're wondering who did tape this game, it was either Fernando Neto or Steve Scarnecchia, both of whom were Jimmy Dee's assistants in 2002.
