I missed most of his interview, but I caught enough to see what kind of moron he is.

He is still convinced the Pats used the videotapes in games eventhough Walsh gave evidence to the contrary. He seems that if you don't agree with him, you are the idiot.

He also addressed the Broncos cheating the cap issue. He said that the Broncos didn't cheat the cap they just deferred too much money of Elway's and Terrell Davis' contract until later year. Correct me if I am wrong, but if you illegally defer too much money of players that gives you more cap space than you are allowed to sign and retain better quality of players. Doesn't that mean that their mistake gave the Broncos a competitive edge that they were not allowed?

Felger dropped the ball and didn't follow up on that.

They didn't cheat the salary cap . . . they just cheated the salary cap ;)

Must be nice to have more money to spend on players than everyone else . . .

Love that that meathead says the Broncos didn't cheat the salary cap, and then details EXACTLY HOW THEY CHEATED THE SALARY CAP.

Quite a feat to simultaneously be that dumb & arrogant.

why were they penalized if they didnt cheat ?
This whole schelerth espn thing is rigged. ESPN asks someone to take an controversial stand and it results in an all day watching and following of the channel by all haters as well and their ratings go up.

Very true. And we Patriot fans continue to help their ratings by listening to their radio station and watching their channel. I for one, won't waste my time. They have as much credibility as Tomase...NONE!
Sports is supposed to be fun. These jerks have taken all the fun out of the game. I'm done with them.

I didn't hear any of it, but my guess is that Felger, in his usual "profiles in courage" mode, didn't exactly put Markie Mark's feet to the fire...

No worries... Felger will be off the air quite soon. Radio anyway... we still have to deal with that puke on CSN.

Sooo, the fact that Walsh kept the tape in his possession until the game ended must not have been true then? SO , Walsh lied to Godell today and Roger let it go Mark?

Riiiigt oh and thank you for clearing up your own asterisk, I think I choose to believe that Shannahan put the extra 30MM to good use during those two, not one, two cap violations.

But, hey, Mike Felger, I am simply a fanboy and you are a blowhard.

That is because Felger hates BB and the Pats...........Schroterless is a DIE HARD PATS HATER.........He is one of the biggest DOUCHE BAGS in the history of sports media.....Yeah...don't let biases and hatred ruin your objectivity too much there Jackoff.......The broncos CHEATED a heck of alot more than the Pats ever did.......EVERY TEAM is doing the SAME THING that the Pats did.......this whole thing has been a ridiculous and hatred driven witch hunt!

That's right. He is sent out there with an agenda. He does his gig and thus endears himself to the company.

My question is why someone like Goodell doesn't CHALLENGE these ESPN goons?? IN many ways the way they stated FACTS that were not there is really saying that what Goodell said was wrong. If Goodell had any spine, he'd demand these turkeys to tell him what evidence they had of that and/or bring ESPN to court. Only way to stop tabloid sports TV is to 1---sue them big time draining their money...OR basically identify them for what they REALLY are.

because it doesnt affect goodell directly . Many media outlets can say the same thing but goodell cant go after all of them . I clearly tells the media the tapes were not use din the same game and there is nothing further. If ESPN still spins the story then whose fault is it ?

Ok, I heard how Schlereth said that he believes the Patriots still used the tapes in games. It is illegal to watch anything but Poloroids of plays during the game and Schlereth maintains that he feels that although Walsh didn't turnoever the tape that they probably watched the plays through his eye piece or something like that. I think that is a stretch.

Besides, every team has legal cameramen on the field shooting from the sidelines like that famous Jets cameraman that was originally reported as Estrella. What stops any team from illegally watching those type of videos?

I think Schlereth got caught in a stupid theory and is clinging desperately to hold onto it. Not surprising. He won't be the only media person desperately hanging onto Spygate.

Yes! That's it! Why watch game film at half time and make adjustments when you can peer through an eye piece and decipher complex signals in real-time! Brilliant!

Sorry, but I have trouble taking football journalism seriously from a guy who plays Roc Hoover on "Guiding Light" ...

how did we win 18 games this yr without a camera and a mediocre QB who cant win without help from camera film at halftime .?

Why doesnt anyone ask this question to him , king and all the others who think it helped BB and the pats but dont dare to call out brady as a mediocre QB . Hypocrites.

Nobody knows whether the Pats used the tapes during games or not except for Belichick and maybe a couple others but Schlereth believes they did and I thought he made some good arguments on the issue. Personally, I don't think they used them during games but rather dissected the tapes after looking for tendencies of teams and coaches (who might go on to other teams).
As far as the Broncos go, they didn't violate the salary cap in the sense you guys are making it out to be. What happened is Bowlen invested a lot of his own money to build the stadium and therefore didn't have enough money to pay Elway and Davis their signing bonus right away. The salary cap numbers were the same, they just got their money later on rather than right away. It actually wasn't even against the rules as they were written but Tagliabue thought they went against the spirit of the rules.
Thing about it is that EVERY team is trying to gain an edge to win and every team has probably broken a few rules in this quest. Patriots just got caught w/ their hand in the cookie jar. Goodell handling this pathetically from the beginning, Belichick being smug about the incident, a former employee from halfway around the world trying to make himself impt. and the Herald w/ their bogus coverage of the walk through tape didn't help matters (what the heck - isn't that the hometown newspaper? Should be the NYT breaking that non-story not the BOSTON Herald) all fed this beast.
Wouldn't let it bother you guys. As Patrick Roy said when Jeremy Roenick was talking smack "I can't really hear what Jeremy says, because I've got my two Stanley Cup rings plugging my ear." And you guys have more than that!!!

I heard him on a radio show today, what a arse.. He is just someone who looks like to hear himself talk.. He should talk about his nonsense, and his illigeal chop blocks, or how his team weaseled the salary cap.. Do we want to go there...

LOL! That is the Broncos' excuse. It still doesn't change the fact that they cheated the cap and pushed bonus dollars against the cap into later years. Funny how you are quick to believe the Broncos' excuse, but refuse to believe the Patriots excuses. I'm sure there was at least some disingeniousness in both cases.
