Hold on, hold on...let me get this straight: you want us to lay off him on the day when it's been revealed that he basically FABRICATED A STORY THE DAY BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL?!? That story was about as hurtful and wrong as a story can be: it created a 4 month headache and increased embarassment at a time when the team needed none of it, it opened a crack for Specter to grease his way into the NFL spotlight and, in my opinion, it did nothing positive for the Patriots Super Bowl chances and--at worst--played a small role in the outcome of the game (no, I'm not saying Tomase's article is to blame--not in the least; however, taking time away from his preparation to answer questions about it certainly couldn't have helped Belichick--who, might I add, was ridiculously out-coached).
Until he loses his job and the Herald issues a retraction of the story, I refuse to lay off that jackass.
