Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

i already voted, but everybody on this board should flood this link and vote. if the opinion expressed here is dramatically different than what the on-air "talent" is saying, it might actually be helpful.

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

Where is the FootballFanetic?:D

Like do you believe the commissioner's punishment to be fair(no it's too harsh or no it's not harsh enough would both be answered with the same reply)

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

I took the poll and the results said that a majority of ESPN watchers believe that videotaping signals in football is "cheating" but stealing signs in baseball is "gamesmanship".

Seriously. WTF?

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

Clearly about 60% of the country is bat-sh*t crazy.

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

Obviously, those who voted against the Patriots are fans of other teams and losing teams at that.

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

Clearly, the Jets fans and NY media have already been here.

But like another poster stated....Who cares about them, anyways.

You hit the nail on the head. These are the fans of the teams

the Patriots are beating the crap out of. These teams all have

coaches who are too stupid to change their signals once in a

while.

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

Let's get on this thing in mass and vote!!

Interesting here:
4) How would you classify videotaping an opponents' signals in football?
69.5% Cheating
30.5% Gamesmanship

5) How would you classify stealing an opponents' signs in baseball?
69.3% Gamesmanship
30.7% Cheating

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

I thought it was funny that people don't mind stealing signals in baseball, but football stealing signals is a death wish. There is no difference. People are just blinded by the disdain for the Patriots.

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

It could be skewed due to the order of the answers to select. For some reason they are reversed, yet have the same percentages on responses. Someone not paying attention would click both of the top ones thinking they were giving the same answer.

Poorly organized survey

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

i really hope this is over because i think the patriots got screwed just because they are the patriots and I am a bills fan and still think this is messed up. I am sick of hearing about it and who cares if they stole signals. Baseball coaches do it all the time!

Re: ESPN Spygate Poll

I really loved this part...

4) How would you classify videotaping an opponents' signals in football?

66.3% Cheating

33.7% Gamesmanship

5) How would you classify stealing an opponents' signs in baseball?

67.7% Gamesmanship

32.3% Cheating

EDIT: whoops, this has been touched on a couple of times. Chalk this up as a +1 for me I guess.

Ridiculous Results from ESPN Poll on CameraHunt

The results of a poll on ESPN today are ridiculous, and it makes me beyond incensed that the mass media witch hunt has so completely distorted people's ideas of what really happened. As of 6:20pm, here are some of the interesting results:

1) Which best describes your feeling on Spygate?
47.3% I'm still interested in the affair
41.2% I just want the saga to end
11.5% Indifference

2) Is Matt Walsh a credible witness?
69.6% Yes
30.4% No

3) Do you believe NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is a fair and impartial judge in this matter?
58.4% No
41.6% Yes

4) How would you classify videotaping an opponents' signals in football?
66.3% Cheating
33.7% Gamesmanship

5) How would you classify stealing an opponents' signs in baseball?
67.6% Gamesmanship
32.4% Cheating

6) How much of an advantage did the Patriots gain over their opponents by videotaping their signals?
47.0% Significant advantage
29.8% Slight advantage
23.2% No advantage

7) Do you believe the Patriots used the information they obtained from videotaping a game within that same game?
59.3% Yes
40.7% No

8) In your opinion, outside of the Patriots, how many NFL teams videotape their opponents' signals?
38.2% A minority
26.2% A majority
24.9% None
10.7% Every team does it

9) Was the punishment handed down to the Patriots earlier this year (fined $250,000 and lost the 31st pick in the 2008 draft) just?
67.8% Yes
32.2% No

10) Should the Patriots face further punishment because of the videotapes Walsh submitted to Goodell?
53.1% Yes
46.9% No

11) Is Spygate over?
54.0% No
46.0% Yes

Total Votes: 21,299

Re: Ridiculous Results from ESPN Poll on CameraHunt

Some of the questions are rather leading and don't give enough room for proper answers. For example, "was the punishment just?" - the answers are yes or no. Why weren't they "too much, just, or not enough?" Another was "do you believe Goodell is fair and impartial?" If I vote no because I think he's a Jets fan, does my vote then get counted as one that thinks he's in bed with Kraft as part of a cover up conspiracy? There's a few others that are similar but not quite as bad.

Re: ESPN(gfy) spygate poll

Not doing it! ESPN will never see the light of day on my PC or TV
