Anyone watching Cris Carter and Mark Craphead on Espn?

This is such a bunch of Bull.

Why don't they have at least one person that can rebutt what these
jerks are saying.

ESPN is continuing it's smear campaign agqaint the PATs.

Re: ESPN Hatchett Job

I turned it of after the Saban miking up their players to get audibles was something he learned by being on the Belichick coaching tree. I am watching the NFL Network coverage now, a lot more impartial than those hacks.

Re: ESPN Hatchett Job

Cris Carter will be on ESPN about long enough to have a cup of coffee. He's gonna make a great studio partner for Emmitt Smith. :D Schlereth played for one of the better cheaters the game has seen. We need not worry about the opinions of these 2 guys. Given an opportunity to have quality debate with an intelligent, objective person defending the NE position, these 2 would be in big trouble.

Re: ESPN Hatchett Job

Anyone think that ESPN would act any other way. They will still continue to maintain they used it during games eventhough there is no evidence of that. They will also do anything to keep this whole thing going for as long as they can.

Re: ESPN Hatchett Job

Is it me, or are Carter and Schlereth confusing game film with signal stealing? They keep saying things like "New England could learn that every time they run a 2 TE set, the other team plays cover 2." Couldn't they do that with regular game film? What do signals have to do with that?

Re: ESPN Hatchett Job

They seem prety objective to me.

They are just discussing the news of the day and all the nuances of the situation.

Chill, it will be mostly over soon.

They are speculating, and then, minutes later, treating their prior speculation as fact.

It is completely irresponsible journalism, although that is nothing new for ESPN.

Re: ESPN Hatchett Job

I didn't think the films would be this bad and there could be more suspensions or other penalties coming.
These tapes are exactly like the Jets one that leaked back in September (except more shaky since Walsh was evidently a crappy photog). What on earth did you expect?

Well it was just my opinion, as a non Patriot.

Question, where do you go when you want responsible journalism? I find ESPN to be fairly consistent.

Go back to the Colts board, Jan. Im sure your boys are missing you.

Of course you do. That's why they have no qualms about being virulently anti-patriots-- it appeals to 95% of their audience.

For sports? There isn't any, really. If you look local, though, you'll usually find at least one reporter who hasn't gone sensationalistic (someone like Reiss for in New England).

They're former players, who the hell are you? Unfortunately they're right. You can keep right on inserting your pinky fingers up BB's ass hole. However, I refuse to respect a coach that has taken me and my 26yr old son for a ride. Belichick has not only hosed us as fans but he's hosed the players who wear the three SB's with pride. There is no longer anything prideful about anything done in the Belichick era. Absolutely pitiful and you people disgust me with your blindness. These tapes are out and public opinion will rule. This organization just became even more tainted on May 13th 2008.

I don't see ESPN as anti Pats at all, and I do not believe that 95% of there viewers are anti Pats.

I am not anti Pats.

You see, any fan that feels anything other than man love for the Patriots is insulted and will probably be banned. Open you eyes! Wake the **** up people! This franchise will forever bare a scarlet letter just as Trey Wingo said.

Fair enough, thanks for the reply.:)

I mean, I understand why the organization would care. I have no idea why I should. If we understand the truth and understand that it didn't influence our Super Bowls, why buy into it?

I don't buy that.

It will be used as fodder by anti Pats for generations though, but as a whole football fans will see it for what it is.

They had one - Sean Salisbury - but they fired him.

And yes, Schlereth and Carter are going off the deep end. But they always resort to the "if they didn't get a huge advantage then why did they do it" crap.

The FIRST thing I noticed about those tapes is....they were obviously edited! They couldn't be used during the same game!

You don't know if it didn't influence our SB's. That's a fact. To say that it didn't influence our SB's is not fact it's only "we hope it didn't influence."
