It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Ian Logue created Patsfans back in the age of the Win 95 operating system...in computer terms, about a thousand years ago. Back then Zip had his own site and there was a site called the Unofficial Patriots .com that drew the most traffic, along with a ton of other sites. Always, the WORST board EVER for Pats fans was our OFFICIAL site ,Patriots.com. They had some weird webmasters from Calcutta India running the software, the message board was a nightmare of cascading threads...it was terrible. BUT, it was the Patriots and Kraft's OFFICIAL board and eventually they litigated the Unofficial Pats.com out of existence.
Meanwhile, Ian persisted and continually upgraded this site month after month year after year until TODAY it is unquestionably THE pre-eminent Patriots fan board on the net. I can't even remember what year I last visited the official site. Now even the media and Patriots officials themselves recognize this site as the HOME of Patriot nation(if there is such a thing). To that end and for everything else, we all owe Ian Logue our admiration and respect for a job well done, indeed.
Thanks for the history lesson. A true success story
I can't even remember what year I last visited the official site.
I love this site, its a great place to come read about, talk about anything patriots. Who ever created this site, great job, great job.
I appreciate the kinds words, but you guys deserve the thanks. This place has been a labor of love and it's just been great being able to get to know everyone and enjoy the ride this team has been on for the decade I've been doing this. Trust me, if it wasn't for all of you there wouldn't be a point to running this site. I've been doing this a long time and remember the days when I had a site that 8 people a day happened to click on...it wasn't much fun. Needless to say I can't say enough how lucky I am to have all of you here. It wouldn't be worth it otherwise
Ian
Ian, it would be very easy for you to stand pat (haha) and not constantly improve this site. But that's not you, and that's why we all contiually come back. I love the Pats talk, the friends I've made, and even some of the silly drama around here. Being 9000 miles away from home, this site keeps me connected to New England more so than anything else.
You really have done a great job and should be very proud.
