Except moderator John Saunders, who didn't express an opinion. It's on again at 12:30 eastern on ESPN News.

Mitch Albom wanted him suspended for the "new' information and tapes from Walsh, despite the fact that it was already known that BB had admitted to taping since the beginning of his Patriots tenure.

There's nothing quite like staying on top of the news.

I know. It just isn't good that these well known reporters (although no Lupica or Ryan today) are pounding the drum for suspension. They did point out on the show that Goodell said, or implied, that the punishment was inclusive of what had been admitted, but they're jumping on the new offensive practices taping.

Maybe the strategy by NE to ignore and refuse to grant access to ESPN is the reason for the half truths and lies from ESPN.

Maybe this is not such a good idea?

Don't think the two are related. ESPN's lack of Pats access to this point has only meant no BB or Pioli interview during the draft coverage.

This show, the Sports Reporters, consists of columnists from around the country, guys who have no connection to ESPN (like Albom from the Detroit Free Press or Rhoden from the NY Times). They just assemble a group and the columnists give their opinions. ESPN has no editorial control on this particular show.

Wait until the season. The Patriots will be up to bat then. It's like the top of the first.:D

No connection? Um, are they paid by ESPN? Would you know who they are without ESPN?

Would you like to again tell me that one or are going to try and sell me a bridge?

The show is not produced by ESPN like everything else that goes on their air. It's a different situation.

This is the longest %##$ pregame show in history!

By time the season starts the spin doctors will have the entire nation believing Belichick flew the planes into the World Trade Center and parachuted to safety just before impact.

The storm of factless columns is just overwhelming. At what point does Mr. Kraft start defending himself against being a permanent pinata?

Rhoden and Album are two of the most obnoxious, judgmental twits on TV (shame Lupica wasn't there, it would have been a flawless triumvirate of sanctimonious douchebaggery). Album should stick to writing about people you meet in heaven and Rhoden...well, I don't know what the **** this guy is known for except being a NY homer and showing up on Sports Reporters (I use the term loosely)...either way, the reason they are brought on the show is specifically because they find fault and have an opinion on EVERYTHING without knowing sh*t about the subject. If anyone out there gets HBO, I thought this weeks Costas Now was an absolutely spectacular send up of modern sports "journalism" (again loosely used) as there was a huge amount of discussion on sports "blogs" (douchebloggery?), ESPN, sensationalist journalism, adversarial journalism, the growth of opinion based radio and call in shows, etc. Patrick, Buck, Tirico, and a lot of others were on talking, and I thought it was one of the most interesting self reflective pieces I've seen on sports and sports journalism in a long time. Well worth watching imo and shines a much more interesting light on these kinds of drive-by media (ha!) programs and reporters.

No games to shut ESPN out of. What, should he make uop some games and not invite ESPN?:D

Yup, and that actually funny segment on SNL where Brady was in the sexual harassment video was not produced by SNL. (Really, it wasn't.) I don't think SNL is totally out of the loop on that.

Their OPINION means nothing to me and it will mean even less after TUESDAY. This entire thing was about a Rams walk-thru not about offensive of defensive signals. THERE IS NO TAPE OF A RAMS WALK-THRU. These people better be careful how far they take this thing. Don't take the Patriots silence for blindness. Bob Kraft is not going to stand there and let the NFL or the pathetic Media destroy what he has built. I don't understand why some of you continue to poison your minds with the filth that is ESPN. I have boycotted that piece of **** for over two years. I am a much more balanced and happy person today. :)

Truth needs to come out already. Maybe after Tuesday (assuming it goes poorly), Kraft decides he has had enough and let's it all fly.

Who else was taping, how long were they doing it.

What else has been going on in the NFL.

In this group, we have seen a lot information, going back to 1967 and before about, I'll call it "advanced scouting". The rest of the country has not seen much of this at all.

The lid needs to be blown off and all facts need to come out. Advanced scouting in the manner in which NE broke a rule needs to be put into perspective against other more serious incidents or rule violations. I am talking about serious tampering, steriod usage, cap violations, playbook theft, spying, locker room antics and whatever else is out there.

It is time to put it all out there so that Goodell can claen everything up going forward.

If they think they are going to taint our record - then taint all the violators, big and small.

I sure would love to see a front page response from the Patriots (or a well respected writer, TomASSee need not apply, Reiss could), with proof of other teams doing exactly as we have along with other violations.

There is only ONE rat in the NFL and "IT" resides in New York. The Pats are not going to throw anyone under the bus. But they might take down some of these media "HACKS".

I say these bums look MORE like bums.. F*** ESPN..they are the oens who stretch the truth..ESPECIALLY STUPID POMPOUS NONSENSE....

What we are witnessing are the death throws of a rumor mongered media tempest.

The alternative is to cover the Tomase angle of the crisis, and the "Sports Reporters" aren't gonna go there.

You think that is the only arrow in the arsenal?

Face it, folks. This tempest in a teapot isn't about videotaping, breaking league rules, or "cheating." It's an ongoing indictment of Bill Belichick's personality and the Patriots' success as a dominating team. If BB had a more ingratiating, media-friendly way about himself or spoke at fundamentalist Christian rallies, things would be much different.
