I know. It just isn't good that these well known reporters (although no Lupica or Ryan today) are pounding the drum for suspension. They did point out on the show that Goodell said, or implied, that the punishment was inclusive of what had been admitted, but they're jumping on the new offensive practices taping.

They just assemble a group and the columnists give their opinions. ESPN has no editorial control on this particular show.

Rhoden and Album are two of the most obnoxious, judgmental twits on TV (shame Lupica wasn't there, it would have been a flawless triumvirate of sanctimonious douchebaggery). Album should stick to writing about people you meet in heaven and Rhoden...well, I don't know what the **** this guy is known for except being a NY homer and showing up on Sports Reporters (I use the term loosely)...either way, the reason they are brought on the show is specifically because they find fault and have an opinion on EVERYTHING without knowing sh*t about the subject. If anyone out there gets HBO, I thought this weeks Costas Now was an absolutely spectacular send up of modern sports "journalism" (again loosely used) as there was a huge amount of discussion on sports "blogs" (douchebloggery?), ESPN, sensationalist journalism, adversarial journalism, the growth of opinion based radio and call in shows, etc. Patrick, Buck, Tirico, and a lot of others were on talking, and I thought it was one of the most interesting self reflective pieces I've seen on sports and sports journalism in a long time. Well worth watching imo and shines a much more interesting light on these kinds of drive-by media (ha!) programs and reporters.

Yup, and that actually funny segment on SNL where Brady was in the sexual harassment video was not produced by SNL. (Really, it wasn't.) I don't think SNL is totally out of the loop on that.

Their OPINION means nothing to me and it will mean even less after TUESDAY. This entire thing was about a Rams walk-thru not about offensive of defensive signals. THERE IS NO TAPE OF A RAMS WALK-THRU. These people better be careful how far they take this thing. Don't take the Patriots silence for blindness. Bob Kraft is not going to stand there and let the NFL or the pathetic Media destroy what he has built. I don't understand why some of you continue to poison your minds with the filth that is ESPN. Truth needs to come out already. Maybe after Tuesday (assuming it goes poorly), Kraft decides he has had enough and let's it all fly.

What else has been going on in the NFL.

Advanced scouting in the manner in which NE broke a rule needs to be put into perspective against other more serious incidents or rule violations. I am talking about serious tampering, steriod usage, cap violations, playbook theft, spying, locker room antics and whatever else is out there.

It is time to put it all out there so that Goodell can claen everything up going forward.

If they think they are going to taint our record - then taint all the violators, big and small.

I sure would love to see a front page response from the Patriots (or a well respected writer, TomASSee need not apply, Reiss could), with proof of other teams doing exactly as we have along with other violations.

Face it, folks. This tempest in a teapot isn't about videotaping, breaking league rules, or "cheating." It's an ongoing indictment of Bill Belichick's personality and the Patriots' success as a dominating team. If BB had a more ingratiating, media-friendly way about himself or spoke at fundamentalist Christian rallies, things would be much different.
