The analogy is horrible. BB in Cleveland was vilified for cutting a popular hometown quarterback for the betterment of his team, and then was blamed for the owner moving the team. Tomase and the Herald published a RUMOR as FACT the day before the Superbowl, and it has since been proven there was nothing to support their publishing of that article. The two situations are not even close.

But you're missing my point. In the heat of anger and hatred, people find all kinds of reasons to excuse being cruel.

My point is that it doesn't matter why the person is unpopular - they did something (not illegal, mind you) that makes them unpopular with a group. The group then responds with personal vitriol and bile of the lowest order.

We don't like what Tomase's report, clearly. Cleveland fans didn't like Belichick cutting Kosar, clearly. But just because we don't like it doesn't begin to justify this kind of behavior.

I was just saying that I think its funny that there is so much hate for this guy that there are above 1000 insult comments about him on his company's website but so many of you take this stuff so literally that it looses all comedic value........loosen up!
