Peyton Being A Douche

you don't think brady does that either? I've seen him yell at his receivers during games and I'm sure he yells at his o-linemen from time to time, they just don't show it on tv.

The fact is it's a well known fact Peyton "blames" his team mates and Brady never, ever has.

That is the key difference. Brady will never point his finger. He is more apt to take the blame. I think we all know Brady has a lot more character as a leader than 'ol Peyton.

what a ******* douchebag

Most of you are missing the point.

It's not a surprise that Peyton is yelling at his guys, and I'm sure Brady does it too.

It's that his own teammates apparently think he's a douche. Saturday is talking back to him and telling him to call a running play once in a while, Glenn is telling him to sit his arse down. Is he respected the way Brady is? I don't think so.

I love Tom but you've got to be kidding me. Was I the only one watching last year when the Patriots, up big and running up the score, had to take a TO at the LOS (or maybe it was a penalty) and Tom flipped out and shouted 'You have got to be f'ing killing me'.

The fact of the matter is that these are big boys with egos and competitive natures so yeah, they are going to get on each other's cases. I've definitely seen Tom do it.

I remember years ago when we were all excited because Bledsoe got in Brisby's face one game and everyone was like 'holy **** actual emotion from Drew' like it was a positive.

I hate Peyton but only because he's a great QB on our team's biggest rival. There's nothing about this clip that seems bad to me.

No, I wasn't kidding at all. There is a huge difference in the way Tom Brady handles himself on the field and the way he viewed by his teammates when compared to Peyton.

That is not a homer opinion, it's the truth.

You can bet a million dollars that Saturday would rather be snapping to Peyton than say Kyle Boller

If you guys dont think that team and OL dont respect Manning youre nuts ...

Im sure if there really was a problem it would be Saturday who was off .. one leader on that offense and they all know who it is

No its not.... You have to love this board, random internet jockeys claiming they know how Tom's teamates feel about him.Honestly, I hate payton as much as the next guy, but please stop acting like this video makes him a bad guy.

Pretty sure things like this happen to all pro's, and I would highly doubt Brady has never been in the same type of situation. Manning has that competative fire that guys like Brady have. Saturday and Manning are close like brothers, and sometimes brother's take frustrations out on one another. Manning is highly respected by his players, and suggesting otherwise is dumb and homer driven. Anyone who had ever played competative sports at a high level knows that when you put a bunch of alpha males in one place, at one time, and things are not going well, things like that happen.

I agree, some people on this board are ludacris.

Really? He's on here? Tell him I love his music. Did he just join in April 2008? Is he really a Patriots fan?

Until I saw that clip, I thought they did. After seeing that clip, I think they don't.

What the heck doe Kyle Boller have to do with it?

You think the Red Sox players respect Manny? They don't. That doesn't mean they'd rather see him replaced with Matt Stairs.

HAHA!! I love that, thanks for posting. Nice to see Peyton has some moxey and is willing to speak up and lead and show some emotion! Kinda like Brady having a fit on HIS sideline in '05. Again, great post, thanks.

Do you have a link to that video of Brady? I assume you're referring to the one I've seen before NFL Countdown or some other ESPN show where he yells "Are we going to lay down, or are we going to fight?" before spiking a waterbottle or something. I've always wanted to see the raw footage of that.

I actually think many Red Sox have respect for Manny. They're the ones who spend time with him and can see for themselves how hard he works to prepare to hit for a given game--I've never heard anyone express an opinion that would hint that they feel otherwise about Manny. I'd expect most of the younger guys would respect one of the best RH hitters of his generation by default, much like young QB's simply respect Brady before they're even signed.

I'm interested to hear why you think the players wouldn't respect a guy who was vital to 2 WS titles--just because he sometimes seems lazy or goofy on the field doesn't mean that's always what goes on, I don't think his career numbers happen by accident--just like Tom.

Seems like his OL doesn't have much respect for him as a "leader".

Mike Lowell, Jason Varitek, Curt Schilling have all expressed complete disgust with Manny as recently as two years ago.

I'm not making this up.

It's true.

If you honestly think the leaders of the Red Sox respect Manny, I don't know what to say. They respect his abilities. They might like him. They don't think much of him as a teammate.

i think my biggest question is How is the center going to be able to get loud enough to over rule the Qb and even if he could what does that sy about the Qb on the field if the other players listen to him.Manning has a rather unique voice so i am sure their teammates know the diffrence

Yeah I don't understand how the center can change the play unless I'm just misunderstanding the gibberish coming out of Manning's mouth. Either way I thought the video was funny and I couldn't care less if he was respected or not on his own team. Hopefully it'll blow up in his face one day.

ha

haha

hahahah ha.

Btw, please post examples of Veritek, Lowell and co talking about their "disgust" for Manny (as a teammate). Links and Video please.

This thread is stupid and makes Pat fans look like complete homers!

Brady does this! Maybe even more than Manning. Brady has pointed out his guys on the field including Welker in the Superbowl. Brady is human and gets fustrated and at times has taken out his fustrations on this teammates whether they deserve it or not!

End of Story....

With that, Tom is the most respected most loved guy on the team according to people who used to be Patriots including Willie McGuinnest or even Charlie Weiss. So much so that his Center Koppen recently had Tom has his Best Man at his wedding a few weeks back. Tearing into Manning for being a leader is just dumb and really makes me feel like I am suddenly posting on the freaking IndyStar lame board.

Because having a leader on a football team means doing everything they say and never questioning them at all.

I think Manning is a douche, but mostly for sexually assaulting women and throwing his O-line under the bus after a game.

Not for this.
