After day one, the PatsFans draft contest was looking like a gimme! Mayo and Wheatley were popular picks, and BB/SP were following our sage advice. ;) The top score was a perfect 2-for-2.

And 5 rounds later, the top score was...still 2. Now that's the Patriots drafting we've all come to expect!

A round of applause for our two winners:

Mac, who tabbed Mayo & Wheatley
Metaphors, with Mayo & O'Connell

:eat3:

Y'all come back next year for another dose of group humility!

Great job fellas!

Sounds like a banner year. We may never see such high scores again, let alone from two people.

thumbs up.

Funny stuff............One day someone will break a record and tab 3 players, just not when Pioli and BB are running the show.

Almost happened this year. I had Crable originally but thought it was too obvious and changed to Jeremy Thompson at the last minute.

Bump......

Do I get a point for Dragosavich? or am I still 0-for the BB era?

Sorry, UDFAs are just tie-breakers! (But wait a second, if it would mean I could claim Gutierrez from last year...:p)

First time in my life Im almost PROUD to have scored a zero on a test. almost. And fully humbled. nice work with this throughout, patchick. now, let me go wipe the pie off my face.

Congrats to both of the winners. I take my usual spot as loser.

Thanks. I really thought I was all over the Pats draft this year but just missed. Scandrick vs. Wheatley. Thompson vs. Crable. Wrong Auburn CB. Can't believe Belichick didn't draft a TE (Cottam) or a developmental OL candidate (Eric Scott...who I think just signed with someone else. Damn!).

Needless to say I'm pleased at how Belichick seemed to follow a gameplan for a more aggressive defensive attack. You don't pick up undersized, blazing fast CBs to sit back in a cover-2 or cover-3. If the Pats do start featuring more attacking play calls on D, I really like Capers coaching up the secondary. Add in Mayo's speed in the middle and Crable attacking from the outside...I'm ready for the season to start now.

My thanks to the poster who posted PFW's draft board.
