I think Miami is starting to get desperate about Jason Taylor who simply does not want to be there and even though I think its near impossible Parcells sends his best player to a division team let alone the best team, with each and every passing day the possibility of Taylor being a Patriot has a better chance if others pass on a 34 year old LB

So the question goes - Would you give up the first 2 of your three 3rd rounders for Jason Taylor on a 1 year 'lets see what you can do here contract'?

Hell no! I would give our highest 3rd round pick and a 4th next year.

It's not often you get a Dancing With The Stars champion for such low picks.

A SINGLE 3rd round pick at the most. Nobody has been bidding up on Taylor, and the Fins know it. If they want to get any value for him, they'll take our offer or leave it.

I concur///////////////////

I voted no, not because too old but because he isn't really a 2-gap player that fits the Pats system.

I would have considered it before. But now that i've seen how many good players are left for the taking in the beginning of round 3 (some projected as potential 1st rounders) I want to see who I can get. I'd give them the lowest 3rd round pick and maybe a late round conditional pick for next year, based on playing time and stats.

The OLB in a 3-4 is an edge rusher/force/chase player.

He's a great fit.

In a heart beat. Jason Taylor is a superstar defensive player, 3rd round picks are basically a crap shoot. Is he a little old? Sure, but he's still got 2-3 years left in him and we are are a Super Bowl contender, not a rebuilding team that needs to stock pile picks.

Vrabel-Mayo-Adalius-Taylor as a LB core...good god. That's just sick.

Better yet,BB uses the 4-3 a little more and has Taylor,Seymour,Wilfork,Warren across the line - Wow!

Absolutely. I wouldn't have touched him for a 1st rounder but two 3rds? They're not worthless, but the chance of them panning out are about equal to the chances of Taylor coming here and having a great season or two. It's not like the Pats are a rebuilding team, they can and should win now.

I don't think he's a pure OLB. He can maybe spot there sometimes, but not play it every down.

Can't rule out Taylor being cut, especially if relations with the team continue to go downhill. Other teams smell it, and won't offer much to get him.

Why not? Enlighten me.

I would definately give up the pick(s) if I knew we could get him in for a very reasonable salary. To me the amount we pay him is the key to any deal. He would be great to have on passing downs.

would have given up 1 3rd rounder

Hopefully Taylor gets released, and the Pats get a guy they want without giving up anything except for cash!

I'd trade the 3 stiffs they just drafted in rounds 2 and 3 for him right now!!!!

we have 2 second round picks now, maybee..
