I know with Mcfadden going to the Raiders, it leaves Gholston or Dorsey on the board... I think the Pats love Dorsey, but if say the saints wow them, they could trade down.. But it looks like the Jets are poised to get Gholston.. which is something I hope does not happen..

Not sure that is a big deal...in many ways Dorsey would have more impact..

It would give them a young LB core. David Harris and Vernon Ghoulston could be scary in a couple of seasons.

I am sure that if Dorsey fell to the jets spot, they would all jump up like a cartoon and make that "AHWOOOGAH" sound with they're eyes jumping out of their head:woohoo:

They wouldn't wait more than a nano second to draft dorsey.

Them running up to hand over the card will be reminiscent of some big fat lady with a homemade t-shirt running down the aisle on the "price is Right" after she's been told to "come on down", tripping over their feet and jumping and yelling and trying to kiss Goodell like he's Bob Barker.

Knowing the Jets they will probably lose him by bidding $1 :D

The media are taking the suspense out of the draft.

Several outlets are reporting the top four teams have settled on their choices:

1. Miami, Jake Long
2. St. Louis, Chris Long
3. Atlanta, Matt Ryan
4. Oakland, Darren McFadden

Up next, Kansas city. Presumably, they will jump on DT Glenn Dorsey, leaving DE Vernon Gholston and CB Leodis McKelvin for the Jets at 6. Barring trades, I'd say McKelvin would be the choice.

Interesting.

Gholston is WAAAAAY overrated. Let the Jets take him. PLEASE!!:D

Does anyone else see that the teams picking #2-#4 realize that those 3 players that they are supposedly going to take, are the biggest targets for teams looking to trade up.

They probably like, but aren't in love the top guys available to them, and figure why let the Cheifs, Jets and Pats reap the rewards of them letting those players fall.

It's simple, make the trades yourselves, get more picks, pay much less in guaranteed salary, and stick us with players we don't really want, and no trade partners left to move down.

This is turning out very badly for any team drafting outside the top 6... which number are the Pats drafting at again? :bricks:

I don't think Gholston will be available for them to select him. I see the Jets going with Ellis.

IF Atlanta does not draft Ryan then you might get your wish - IF Kansas City also decides to pass on Ryan then you WILL get your wish and the Jets will pass on Gholston and draft Ryan IMO

I have KC taking Gholston in my mock. Let's see if it happens.

Dorsey is going to the Chiefs, McFadden is going to Raiders and Jets are grabbing Gholston.

and I'm wrong. Oakland has like 10 backs now.

its official

I'm happy with Mayo at #10 plus the additional 2nd rounder in 2009.

Gholston looks like a mega bust. And with the exception of Merriman and Ware, 3-4 OLB's seem to come in later rounds anyways... LaMarr Woodley, Shaun Phillips, Mike Vrabel, Adalius Thomas, Joey Porter, James Harrison. They were All drafted after the 1st round.
