Why would Baltimore trade up just 1 pick with NE and for what a few spots up the the 100 area?

If Ryan gets past the NY Jets I assure you Ryan will become a Raven without a trade - Last time I looked New England had no interest in Ryan

If Baltimore wants Ryan that badly they are going to trade up with Oakland,Kansas City,Atlanta or the Jets

If Ryan was still available at 7 then I'd imagine the Patriots phone would be red hot with trade up offers. Baltimore would need to be in on the act because if they didn't then somebody below them may trade up and take Ryan ahead of the Ravens.

I would rather have Mayo or Groves with the 13th, but I love the rest of the picks

That what i was think when i put the trade inthere they were jsut trying to make sure they got they player they wanted. In my head i could iminage the pats phine ringing from carolina and chiacgo for Albert thent he ravens chime in for ryan so they make that deal and still have the albert sweep stakes open for them at 8

I agree. Solid list indeed. I'd be very happy.

I'm not sold on Harvey being a good fit in a 3-4 front. Hey, if we all agreed this would be a really boring forum.

That being said I really like the rest of your board. If McGlynn was available to us in the 4th, I would be doing cartwheels (and that would be a funny sight!).

I am rather shocked people have not attacked my Gholston at 2 pick

Mock draft overload??? I was shocked when I wasn't attacked for Mayo @ 10.

I actually like the pick. Since it appears they will move between a 3-4 and 4-3, I think they could very well take either Long or Gholston. I would guess Long, but Gholston is a distinct possibility.

I notice you have Rivers falling pretty hard any particular reason?

just a hunch there is always one or two players that fall for no real reason other then teams fill a need and i think he'll be a victim of that

Harvey just doesn't seem a good fit for the Pats system. He's too small to be a DE in our 3-4 and too slow to be an OLB. Harvey is a very good player in a 4-3, but just not for us. I'd probably go with Groves or even Avril instead at a later draft slot.

I like Cason and Kevin Smith picks a lot though. :)

Harvey too small, didn't he weigh in around 270 at the combine?

OR, The Falcons jump back in and give the Pats #34, #37 in the second and #103 in the fourth and a third in 2009. The draft value figures work exactly. They do what The Browns did last year but still have a ton of Choices.

I think the double trade down gives them better value rather then trading lal the way out of the first round

No way would the Pats drop that far. No way would we want to, and no way would the Falcons be able to handle the rookie cap ramifications.
