A little different but not crazy :

1 - J. Long
2 - Dorsey
3 - Ellis
4 - McFadden
5 - Albert
6 - Ryan
7 - who knows. But, surprise, C. Long and Gholston are both there.

I don't believe the new rumor of the Falcons passing on Ryan, even if the Rams take Dorsey. All the Falcons are trying to do is get someone interested in their pick in hopes of a trade, in the end they will take Matt Ryan cause they need him and Arthur Blank wants him. Also, I don' think KC takes Branden Albert, they take one of the Long/Gholston tandem. They can get an OL at #17, it makes more sense.

The Falcons are certainly a mystery. However Ellis is a legit pick at #3 and Dimitroff was with the Patriots when they picked 3 DL in the first round. He didn't make the picks but this is the team he grew up with.

You may be right on KC but they have to get an OL with a stud RB and so-so QB. I think they have to get the right guy at #5 and worry about the second first rounder when it arrives.

7 S. Ellis to us or someone else.

It's about value and getting either Long or Gholston is much better value then getting Branden Albert. Because at #17 it's possible he still could be their, or they could get Ryan Clady or Chris Williams at 17. It's makes more sense that way then taking Alberts at 5, then getting say Derrick Harvey or Quentin Groves. Much better value going DE first.

I understand what you are saying about Sedrick Ellis, but for one I don't think Blank would let him pass on Ryan if Dorsey isn't there. And two, all Dimitroff is trying to do is get the Patriots, Bengals, Saints interested in his pick, because he knows all those teams want Ellis, and he can acquire more picks and add value to that Falcons team that has so many holes. it makes sense. I wouldn't be shocked if he took Ellis, but I believe it's just a ploy on his part.

I would be shocked to see Gholston make it to the Pats. SHOCKED:eek::eek: If the Raiders drafts McFadden, there needs to be a hostile takeover in OAK.

With Long gone, I think it obvious that ATL wants Ryan. They have the picks, they could give up one to move up and get Dorsey if they REALLY wanted him....so they dont. If they want Ryan I think it makes the most sense to ATL to trade with KC, they can take C.Long to replace Allen...and right in front of their nemisis OAK!! ATL gets Ryan in front of the JEST. KC is the key to pretty much any trade in the first round.

I think the Falcons are in love with Dorsey and I would not be surprised to see them throw St. Louis a bone in order to flip spots with them.

St. Louis could still take C Long at #3 and pick up an extra pick for the effort.

I was talking about that with a Rams fan here at work. Could happen. His opinion, though, is that you only get so many chances at a top DL so he wants them to stay with the pick barring a really good offer.
