it has only been a few hours, and already I am getting messages from indy fans about how it is a weak schedule and the colts will win this year cuz of the pats lack of CBs. I get **** from idiot steelers fans when I wear pats gear. of course the only thing you have to say to them is "anthony smith" but why is it teams that lose to the pats feel the need to talk so much ****? Do you think it really matters what your opinion is of a football team, or if your team wins? bad officials and idiot fans are destroying sports imo.

It's funny, i live outside Baltimore (yes it sucks) and wear my BB hoodie around my community college campus and other public places and no one has yet to say anything to me. And there are a ton of Raven, Redskin, Steeler, and even bandwagon Giant fans in the area.

LOL i just got a message from an indy fan saying moss is overrated! How do you do anything but laugh at such nonsense?

Thankfully, I kind of scare people (I have really no idea why) so I don't get much crapola from the people around me when I wear Pats gear here in Spittsburgh.

Sounds as if youre like most of us - you HATE haters. ;)

I just find it both difficult to understand, yet almost admirable how they can maintain their level of angst towards our team. But that's just how it is when you live on the top. Even when technically, someone else is renting your throne.

I wish I could feel safe in Pittsburgh, in 04 I was at a Shop and Save wearing a Bruschi jersey, 4 people said something to me, 1 threatened me. It's hard being a Patriots fan living in Pittsburgh, people are crazy !

I get called a bandwagon fan all the time down here in FLA. When I wear my Pats jersey (especially up here in Jacksonville where people are still heated and making excuses about why the Jags lost), I get shouts from across the street. Never been threatened before while wearing my Pats gear though.

I get the same treatment up here in Seattle with all that bandwagon crap, because obviously NOBODY was a patriots fan before 2001. I hate seahawk fans.

well just show up to the game wearing your sh*t, let them talk, then point to the scoreboard afterward.

If you don't like idiot fans, aviod reading message boards at all costs. :D

Belichick grew up in Annapolis. I'd think that they'd take some pride in him there.

I have to clarify what I said earlier. I was just speaking about the people I work with and see on a regular basis. Random people in the street don't get to see Pats gear as my wife doesn't let me out of the house if it's showing.

Yes the people here are crazy. I'm not sure if this is true but a Steelers fan friend of mine told me a story where a few years ago, a fan of a visiting team was killed in a bar here, after his team had lost, just because he was wearing a jersey.

It just comes with being the top team in the NFL when your the best(Pats) everybody will always try to find fault with your team, it sucks but that just seems to be the way it is. Nobody really knows if the Pats have the weakest schedule, hell it could turn out to be the toughest, we will only know after the season has been played out.

well then i suggest you never visit Illinois. ha

just kidding, they are great fans.
But the fair weather Bears fans are annoying b/c they have no clue what they are talking about. But this happens everywhere.

Keegs, Did you feel the earthquake at 5:40am eastern time? It was centered in West Salem Illinois, about 60 miles from where I live.

As a Steelers fan, I can say that talking smack about your team is only part of being a fan, no matter who you are cheering for. As for threatening people, I never have, as a Steelers fan, but as a PITT fan I have threatened PSU fans, for sure. Even if they are PSU/Steelers fans, I still give them a good threatening, my favorite being calling them Traitors, and not real Pittsburgh fans. That usually gets them swinging.

As for the fans of other NFL teams, the only ones I really really get onto, with a hint of violence are Cowboy fans. I hate them, they hate me, its all good.

Pats fans are ok in my book, for the most part, we all have the "jerks" that show up on game day, get loaded and start acting like morons, but the ribbing and jawwing and smack talking is all part of the fandom, for me anyway. NY and NJ fans of all sports suck in my book. have a little knowledge before you get into a debate about a sport please. Giants and Jets fans, ugh, seriously, 1969 Jets fan, and the Giants, yeah, your LB in the 80s was coked out of his mind, no wonder he couldn't be blocked.

I know a lot of steelers fans...you win favorite. I'm glad other teams fans see what a bunch of pathetic POS fans make up the typical NY/NJ fanbase.

ha no i felt nothing.

I didn't know there was an earthquake until someone emailed it to me.

I woke up to pee at like 3 or 4 am though. Unless the earthquake hit right at that time, i didn't feel it.

i live less than ten miles from foxboro and the razor. all is good up here. not many fans from other teams in my area. boston fans are hardcore into there teams.
