Has anyone heard if Brady + Moss and co are getting ready for the new season yet?

Has last year's loss put fire in their bellies, or did it wear them out?

Any optimistic news about any of the Pats working extra hard this off-season to make up for last year?

Make up for last season?!!? You are talking about the team that went 18-1 aren't you?

the only working out brady seems to be doing is running gisele's errands. hopefully he'll be back soon.

I think that "Probable" shoulder might be nagging him.

(Leaves open a line about Gizelle nagging him on purpose)

but don't you think that the shoulder will worsen when he's carrying gisele's mail?

Neither are back yet, however it's well documented that Randy does his off season work outs in Florida with a personal trainer.

If you guy/gals have time download the last Patriots Football Weekly from the official site OR get it from iTunes - I sent in an e-mail to them last week and asked that question about Tom - They read it and they spent about 20 min debating the issue. It's a good listen if you have time - It happens at about 1 hour and 3 min into the show (1:03:10). It's the 4/17 episode.

Gisele has promised to let Tom show up for the start of the

regular season.

I do have to say that I am a little bit concerned that Tom seems to be less focused on football during the offseason than he has in the past. Not enough to press the panick button, but enough to focus in on how sharp he is during training camp and the preseason.

The thing is we are not with Tom 24 hours a day and don't know what he has been doing for offseason workouts. We only see what the tabliods show. Since the offseason workouts are usually Mon-Thurs, we don't know if Tom is working out during the week and being photographed in his off time.

I have a different view. I think Tom has sacrificed a lot more than most players and driven himself harder and more single mindedly and accomplished more with less over the last several seasons than any player in the NFL. I think we see how it wears him down mentally down the stretch. I think he needs to start taking more time for himself so he can remain a little fresher as these long seasons wind down. He's got a pretty talented crew assembled around him finally and none of them are rookies or newbies - they built a pretty damn fine rapore last season and no one is mastering a new playbook in Greek this offseason.

Apparently Bridget's personal life is evolving and she is moving on, and as a result he and Gisele are spending some time with the baby in LA. That is a good thing for all concerned. I honestly think he had no intention of starting a family until he saw the light at the end of his career here - he's that dedicated to this franchise and his and it's legacy. But fate has a way of throwing you a curve and it's important you learn to deal with it. He'll be here when and as much as he and the team need him to be, and when the time comes he will set the tone as he consistently has.

Even BB took a step back this off season, I think while they move on better than we as fans do, 18-1 really knocked the snot out of all of them, and particularly the core, and they need to do what they will do to insure they rebound from it. Bill is actually looking a little more relaxed and at ease that he ever has, so hopefully they are all finding a silver lining in 18-1 and getting past all the drama of 2007 that doesn't harden them but maybe frees them up to start enjoying football again. It'd be nice if that happened to the fan base and media too...

Brady needs to rest his arm after a long arduous season, not wear it out in April-July.

Mo......I think BB has everything he ever wanted - head coach and total control of a very successful football program. The measure of that success is winning Superbowls.

Tom Brady is well on his way to all he ever wanted from the game -- to be the "GOAT"

Keeping these two together will equal several more championships.

Let them rest up and focus on the task at hand - 2008/09 Superbowl Champion.

What a great time to be a Patriot fanatic.

owww

exceptional analysis...really

Last month was the jack and jill shower week festivities in Mississippi...this week the destination wedding in Cabo, now the honeymoon <shudder>... Although in Eli's case it matters little since none of his teamates ever show up to practice with the poor kid, if at all, anyway... and Shockey likely wasn't invited and could care less since he's probably still hammered from SB viewing...LOL

Some guys live here and workout year round. Some commute for midweek sessions. Others like Asante the last two seasons and Ty Law his entire career choose to do their own thing. Seymour has been here lately but he didn't used to be because of family concerns or holding out.... It was important that Randy show up last year to get aclimated, this year not so much. Lots of guys are still rehabbing injuries/surgeries we will never know about. It was a red flag when Starks simply refused to join in after we traded for his sorry ass...I would hope Hobson and the corners are participating. This is a veteran team pending the draft. Aside from the OL who should only be unchained from their training aparatus to watch film of their last performance, the rest of them have proven to be fairly trustworthy when it comes to doing what they need to do and showing up ready to play.

Tom has been in California visiting with his son. A 'rumor' of a friend of his on CBS sports said he needs to stay away for both physical and mental health reason. Apparently last season was alot with become a new Dad and the pressure of going undefeated. He will not participate in the off season workouts like he has in the past......he is taking a major break. He will show up from time to time, but to date, has not attended one session. This friend also elluded to Brady being upset about the additional Spy Gate Walsh crap and he just needs to be with his son right now. He's renting a house in LA and has been there for most of this month with Gisele and his folks. That has been all over the internet. Meanwhile he is working out daily, but just not at Foxboro.

Tom is resting and that is a good thing. Last thing we need is a burnt out QB and it was obvious as the season came down to the stretch run that Tom was not himself. He looked distant and for the first time I, for one, could visibly see the pressure he was feeling. It was not good and even though he seems to have shrugged off the loss in the SB, it must have killed him beyond what he wants the public and maybe in the front office to know!

I think Tom being out in LA is a good thing for several reasons.

First, lets remember that he probably saw his son for literally 1 or 2 days between when he was born and the Superbowl. I obviously can't say this for sure because I don't know what he did during the bye, but we would have heard if Bridget brought the baby to MA sometime during the season and she obviously did not. He needs to see this kid and since he lives and works 3000 miles away, he doesn't have a lot of flexibility except for NOW - APRIL. So good choice by Tom.

Second, the 2008/9 Patriots really have to worry about 23 other things before QB ok? They need to worry about RDE, NT, LDE, OLB, OLB, ILB, ILB, CB, CB, SS, WS, RT, LT, RG, LG, C, TE, FB, WR, WR, P, K before they need to worry about QB. So let him do what he needs to do.

I have not seen one mention of Brady here in So Cal. He must really be keeping out of sight. If any city will spot a celeb on the move, it is LA.
