So give Gholston to the Dolphins in the second mock draft offering from The Dallas Morning News. The first one last weekend was based on best available player. This one places a greater emphasis on team need.

If he pencil's in McKelvin again, we won't know if he's doing so to fill an obvious need with his #1 ranked CB... or is Gosselin hearing rumblings that he is indeed the pick. Will be interesting...

As much as everyone wants to say that, it's hard to find trading partners, particularly in the top 10... so you better be prepared with who you're going to take if the situation arises (and I'm sure the Pats front office is).

That depends on how greedy you are. If the Pats are willing to accept, say, only a fifth to drop down three spots, odds are they'll find someone willing to deal.

I agree. If Ryan is on the board we should be able to move down. Even if it's just a 4 to move down a few spots, it would be an early 4. That gives us a late 2/early 3 and late 3/early 4 and it should be pretty easy to move up in those rounds if necessary.

Says who?? Considering this is considered a deep draft with no TOP pick, trades should happen..
Just a few years ago, Cleveland gave up a high SECOND to move up ONE spot to grab Winslow..

You have teams like Cinn and New Orleans who covert a DT.. plus if Ryan falls, you'll have 3 more teams clawing to move up and grab him (Carolina, Chicago & baltimore)..

When the bullets are flying and teams are on the clock, it's all about the team's value of the player they want, not the value of the pick.

I'd be surprised if the Pats took McKelvin at #7. I could stomach it a lot more if they moved down to #10 first. If McKelvin is taken at #7, BB must believe that he is the next Deion Sanders.

I think we can extort at least a 3rd round pick out of Baltimore if we posture that other teams below are looking to leapfrog the Ravens for Ryan. Heck it will probably even be true.
