I was going though teh Pro Football Weekly draft guide last night. I noticed that they had a player from Bentley College ranked #7 of the OG's. Don't have the book here but I'll try to write his name.

Mckensey Babinueau (sp) -sorry if you are reading this. Anyway, the have him ranked 127th overall which would make him a late 4th rounder.

Has anyone seen this kid play? Is he a Patritos type player? I ask this because with the membership we have, there could be someone who has seen some Bentley games and may be able to comment on this player.

His name his Mackenzie Bernadeau, a mauler, a road-grader who simply needs to be coached-up and like I posted before, there wouldn't be a better coach for this kid than our own Dante Scarnaceccia who I think is the best in the business. He will maximize all of this kid's abilities like Peter Yetton did over at Bentley and I'm hoping that if he goes undrafted, that the Pats bring him to camp, because if he arrives, he isn't leaving.

Well, this is good news because the 4th round is where we SHOULD be looking for offensive lineman. Leave the first couple of rounds for speedy, hard hitting, defensive players.

Thanks for the correction of the murder that I commited on the guys name.

Have you actually seen him play? He was a team captain. He also had a x nect to his name which indicates injury concern.

I have not seen him play, but he sounds like a developmental prospect at best.

Kerry Brown is a much more viable prospect at OG.

I played ball at Bentley, so I can tell you that he played in a Pro style offense which is what they run over in Waltham, I haven't seen him play, but I've heard alot about him and have read up on him as much as I can. I used to go to Bentley's games a few years back, but I just don't have the time anymore. With that said, he's a classic "thick", "stoudt" interior OG who dominated (as he should have) at D2 and will need time and will be playing in this league for someone, I hope it's us. He'll provide us with great depth and he's got great upside. Expending a 6th round pick on him is more than worth it. I've seen some mocks having him being picked by the Jets in Round 6. If I'm BB, I take a flyer on him and let him develop on the practice squad.

Yup, good ole Coach Yetton and his sidekick Thom Boerman, what a pair they were and still are. Icons over there in Waltham and I'm sure pretty fired up about their first legit NFL prospect, MacK Bernadeau.

Mac's legit. I was roomates with a good chunk of the starting team and got to know Mac pretty well. The thing that stands out about him is what an A+ human being he is. He is hands down the nicest, friendliest most genuine kid I have met. He's respectful of everybody, works hard in the classroom and is one of the best liked people on that hill. I really can't say enough good things about the kid.

From a football standpoint, he's thickly built, plays with good pad level, is very athletic and a very hard worker. I think he will be a good player in the NFL, but is more suited to a team like Denver where they will utilize his ability to play in space. He's not a huge human being, but very solidly built and plays with excellent technique.

Hey BradytoMoss, what year were you? '07 here, fly on falcon.

I consider most 300 lb people to be huge human beings... but I guess that all depends on your perspective.

Class of 88 dude, wayyyyyy before your time. And believe it or not, when I played for Coach Yetton, if you can believe it, Boermann and Harrington and DiMasi were still there.

Not for nothing, but it is Yetten.

He was my Gym teacher in High School, before he coached football. He is a good guy, but a little crazy. He loved to tell stories about when he was younger. "I figure I had about 100 street fights in my life, and I've won about 90 of 'em". That sort of thing.

When I was at Waltham High, where Yetten was a Gym teacher, Danny Keohane coached the football team. Great guy and a great coach. He coaches at Bentley now.

Of course, none of that has anything to do with this thread, but I figured you should correct Pete Yetten's name.

My bad, a typo on the O/E, just don't tell him I did that, it will bring back nightmares of the tirades he went into behind the Dana Center at halftime after we were up 28 points because he still thought we were playing like absolute shi& ! I'm not surprised about the street fights, they don't come crazier and tougher than Peter Yetten.

FWIW, the Patriots put him through a private workout, and his name is spelled Mackenzy Bernadeau.

Thanks, seb, I didn't know the Pats worked him out, it's great to hear this. Again, like I said, if you put Mack under the tutelage of Dante S. I like his chances.

If he goes undrafted, I'm sure he'll get an invite.
