What was the deadline for season ticket holders to re-new for 2008?

I would love to know how may season ticket holders did not re-new their tickets.

I am trying for an upgrade from 218 to the sidelines.....

Not that I can afford the sidelines... I will probably only go to a couple of games, & sell the rest on the ticket exchange.

Lucy I have people who will take the pre-season waist of money games.

Evidently there were more than a few.

From the website today:

"Season Ticket Holders:
2008 Invoice payments were due on Monday, March 31st. If you missed the deadline, log on now to secure your seats for the 2008 season."

I don't remember the pats being so nice in the past.

I wonder if the Krafts overestimated the Pats' fans willingness to pay whatever to go to the games. If it is a case of a large portion of season ticket owners not renewing, I wonder how deep they will go into the waiting list. I don't think there is a chance in hell that they don't sell out every game though.

It matters not how deep they went given the present depth of the waitlist. I'm one who will be attending games less, but more because of the parking exit hassle than anything. For the Krafts' sake, the Pats had better keep on winning. A return to the past would make Patriots Place and the Gillette skyboxes expensive white elephants and cash drains.

Fortunately, I believe that the Kraft-Patriots corporate culture is strong and will prevail. The bigest known threat is whither the CBA 2010 and thereafter.

I agree with you on this statement.......the players & owners really need to understand that no good will come out of screwing over the people that buy the tickets, go to the games, watch the games on Direct TV and "free" TV, support the sponsors etc etc.

Of course the game will go on no matter what, but, if they go too far, they may never get back to where they both were when they decided to stop work, strike or whatever.

I think the sides are well aware of this. That is why the owners agreed to the crappy deal they have now and that is why the players are/were willing to revist this so quick with the opt out clause.

Kraft is/was a fan and I think he does understand some of our needs. That doesn't mean his needs dont out weigh our needs. Jeez guys we are in a capitalistic society here and he has every right to charge what ever his demands allow. I think the Krafts and the NFL are very charitable, more so than most cash cow businesses in this country and I think that is all we can really ask for.

Hey you cant knock the people who have held those season seats for years and have basically been priced out of them and have no other choice but to give them up. Pretty soon the razor will be nothing but corp. seat after corp. seat! And we wonder why there is almost always no enthusiasm in the crowd and how it is mainly quite all the time. That is because the real die hard fans have been forced back to their living room to watch the games for the most part.

Why can't I knock them. Not my fault they can't make enough to go. If you can't afford to go because the price is to high. Than even if you could afford a cheaper ticket wouldnt you be better served saving the money for more important things.

And were in my post do you see me blaming kraft? Please read the post then respond, do not try and put words into my post that are not there! All im saying is you cant knock the people for being upset who have been going to this stadium probably long before yourself who are now going to be on the outside looking in.

How is it not Krafts fault? I don't recall any Pats fans lobbying for Kraft to build a Mall at the Stadium and push all of us across Route 1 to park & tailgate.

You seem like a pretty reasonable guy. Do you think the Patriot Place development might have had something to do with the large increase in ticket prices?

I'm one of many Season Ticket Holders who have sold their seats for 2008. The tickets remain in my name as the transfer fee of $15K (3 seats at $5k) is ridiculous.

I'm glad you can afford the tickets. Just don't act all high and mighty.

I could have been a jerk and sold my tickets to a Ticket Agency. I didn't. I sold them at face value to a diehard Pats fan.

I remember receiving a glossy brochure from the Pats in 2003 or 2004 stating that the Pats will be reinstating transfers...For a price. $5K per seat.

The only place you are allowed to sell your tickets is through the season ticket exchange offered by the Pats - you can find this on their website.

Sorry you could not afford to attend anymore, I do realize you are a big fan. We are talking entertainment here though - not life, death or anything closely associated with ones quality of life. I do not blame any business for trying to maximize their revenues and profit. That is usually why most people go into business - unless it is a non profit venture, which the NFL certainly is not. If they happen to find they went to far or if things change down there, they can easily put through a correction. I doubt they will ever need to do that as long as the NFL does not blow itself up with player / owner issues.

I for one am looking forward to all that the new Patriot Place has to offer. I think a Patriots Hall of Fame will be awesome. I think the CBS one of a kind TV themed restaurant may be outstanding. I think the night clubs and other restaurants there will bring some much needed nightlife to a rather boring area. I see some pretty cool stores there, unlike any others around and some familiar ones that I look forward to visiting. The new Pro shop promises to be a mecca for all Patriots fans in seek of shirts, hats, novelties, footballs and memorabilia of all kinds.

I tend to take a positive attitude toward Patriot Place with the new and different ideas, concepts etc., but that's just me I guess, one that gets excited over new things and gives them a chance.

Yes sir, I do support Mr. Kraft and no I am not employed by him nor do I stand to make anything off of any of his ventures. Since the day he bought the team he has done nothing but what he said he would do - bring us all a team we could be proud of that will contend for a championship year in and year out. What more could any Patriot fan one ask for??

I'm serious. I know that some teams allow seats to be transferred, I didn't think that my Pats seats could be transferred with or without a fee. Not that I would do it anyway, I'm just surprised.

It really doesn't matter to me what anyone thinks of Kraft any more than what other people think of the Pats. To each his own.

Speaking of transferring seats, long ago in the 70s my buddy married into the right family where the father-in-law had Pats seasons tickets, minor detail of the Patrits feilding putrid teams aside. Sometime in the mid 80s the old geezer moved to FloriDUH and my buddy went to the Patriots and got the tickets transferred to his name. We've shared those seats since the 80s when he needed my cash to pay for those expensive $35/game seats. Now he too is a geezer and would like to xfer those seats to his 20 something sons' names for posterity. For a couple years as others stated, no way could he do that. But the Krafts reconsidered their policy (after hostile articles in the Boston Globe where my friend was quoted!) and re-established a transfer policy. This time with a $5,000 per seat 'fee'.
