OK...

I have been thinking this for awhile now.

There is reason to believe that when the fines came out last year (and the Patriots 1st round draft pick loss) for Belichick and the Patriots, GOD-ell behind the scenes also gave them the ultimatum that if they were ever to be in last years superbowl... they had to somehow tank the game as well.

Thoughts?

This should be interesting and fun...

Oh, goodness.

well at least that would make sense.

but if you were right, Brady would have thrown a pick and not a TD to Moss on that drive.

They had to make it interesting because the Mara's had bet their new stadium financing in Vegas that the score would be exactly 17-14 gor the Gints.

Had to make it look realistic so as to erase all doubt about the fix being in....what better way??

Did you really think a guy can catch a ball on his helmit...go back and look, it was fake.

Here's my theory- the Pats were too worried about being a part of "ever" to make sure they could adequately prepare for the Super Bowl.

please tell me your kidding me

Back and to the left!
Back and to the left!

But hey! Its just as plausible as the Magic Bullet theory.

You know, TGiaCG, I always have my tin hat at the ready
but I just can't go along with this theory. It just seems silly.
As if BB would throw a game to protect RG's ineptness.
I like my theory much better.
The whole team was affected by everything...to a small degree each.
You're a 30 year old kid playing in the Super Bowl and a week before
the game a US senator says he wants to call you to a congressional
hearing along with your coach. That can't go well with an ankle injury
of unknown severity.
That whole Specter spectacle was an intentional psyche job on our guys.
I know our guys say no, the Giants just played better and God bless our guys for their sportsmanship but I still can't help but think that if there was no spygate distraction, the game would have turned out differently.

You need a forum enema TG .... and a good flush.

I'd say the deal was "you aren't going to get the calls from the refs" or it's gonna be lopsided.

I'm one of "the wackos" that believes there are unanswered questions around 9-11 but, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Pats lost the Superbowl all on their own. And there is no way you could keep those guys quiet if there was any hint of conspiracy.

I want to buy into a conspiracy, Terry. But this:

just makes alot more sense to me.

Also, the Giants played a very dangerous "we'll either win or we'll get blown out" game with the constant bull rush of Brady. And the O-Line was so used to people being scared of Brady and not rushing anyone, they got shown up.

how do we explain the coaching decisions and adjustments? do you think that BB, PEES, and MCDANIELS, and Adams jsut choked?

Yes it is the first time in history a team lost a game they shouldn't have! NOTHING LIKE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED BEFORE!

Sure the Vikings went 15-1 and didn't even MAKE the Superbowl...but they lost a game, so it's excusable for them to lose in the playoffs. It's inexcusible for a team to lose, ever.

I mean it's the first time BB ever lost a game as a coach, right? Must be conspiracy.

WE LOST THE GAME BECAUSE WE LOST THE GAME, IT'S OVER, STOP IT PEOPLE

They lost because the offense, defense, and coaching choked. You cann get new players.... how do you fix a choking coaching staff? hopefully it was a one time fluke.

The red hoodie also had something to do with the loss.

Seriously. I am not joking. Kraft should put it in BB's contract that he can't wear a red hoodie. EVER.
