Seeing as how most people would say CB is probably our biggest question mark right now, which one of the previously "unknown" CBs do you think has the best chance of stepping up (in a starting or even nickel/dime role) and making an impact this upcoming season?

I say we see a rookie opposite Hobbs by week 1 and it may be Cromartie

I would have to go with Bryant

bryant, i have high hopes for him, he could be a steal

Definitely a rook, whether it be a LB or CB.

Bryant isnt an 'unknown' he is a former #1 pick who has started his entire career.

Ideally, I'd like to see a corner in the first (ideally after trading down to whereever in the first would get us an additional 2nd, maybe around 20??) and we start camp with Hobbs and Bryant as starters, the rookie has the inside track at nickel, and Sanders, Webster, Richardson, other mid rounds picks, etc are battling for roster spots, potentially being as high as the nickel. Then Bryant holds the spot until the #1 draft choice takes it from him.

I am VERY OK with the following:

Hobbs
Bryant
Rookie #1
2 of Sanders, Webster, Richardson, other draft picks or whoever shows up in camp.

We will be 4 deep with players who have done well in those roles, and some of them will be playing lesser roles than they have in the past. We will have ample competition so if any of the free agents crap out, we are OK, and we will have our future top corner playing exactly as much as he shows he is ready to, without being under pressure to throw him out there because we have no one else.

Add in the 4 quality safeties we have Harrison, Meriwhether, Sanders and Tank, and the secondary is really starting to take shape.

I am hoping for either a stud young LB or CB from the draft. Seeing as I do not follow college ball I am not quite sure who I am looking for. I got to rely on you guys for that one! :rocker:

I vote for Dom Capers,as haveing the most impact in the end.

That is talking about where he goes in fantasy football drafts.

He was the 26th overall pick by the Jaguars in 1999.

oops. Should have been more careful on google.
I didn't see the ff part
Thanks for clarifying.
Never mind AJ.:bricks:

Oh yeah. lol. Almost forgot my originally intended post.

We saw some good things from Mike Richardson last year before
he went down to injury. But Fernando's former coach sure
does sound high on him. Thats a good thing.
I think we're going to have some good competition in TC
for the corner position.
Hopefully will come up with at least a couple of decent corners out of that.
