If Walsh wants to ask for forgiveness, he needs to do that before the JUDGE, Kraft, BB, Pat's players and FANS.

that's what I get from it too, but i'm not particularly inclined to forgive or see him be left alone. Whatever he gets out of this, he deserves worse. I'd like to see him penniless, disgraced, and divorced before it's all said and done. I guess I'm just not a very forgiving person

And they are still doing it. I was listening to Fox Sports Radio this morning, on WEEI before D&C, and the topic of Walsh and why he has yet to speak came up. The host, Ben Maller insinuated that the reason Walsh has not come out yet is that he was "paid off" by someone to keep quite.

I didn't give any money to the Republican Party this year (as I have the previous seven or so years) because of Specter. I send each envelope back empty with a note saying that I'm not giving any money because of Arlen Specter's pointless witch hunt on the New England Patriots. Granted, George Bush, John McCain, or Arlen Specter isn't going to starve because of my lack of donations, but it feels good doing anyways.

Don't expect any sort of apology or retraction from Specter anytime soon either.

I didn't even listen to that show, and hadn't heard anything concerning Maller's saying that, but I just knew someone would start using that slant.

Specter's said he believed the NFL and the Patriots were trying to keep Walsh from coming forward in the past, but I believe this is the first anyone's slant ever went quite that far.

I guess that's the new angle now huh? Can't be he's not speaking out because, oh I don't know, he has nothing substantial?

This whole Spygate mess makes me think of the recent Vanity Fair article about JFK's alleged love child. Actually it wasn't about the love child per se. It was mainly about how far some journalists will go to acquire a big scoop story, even when there are several reasons to doubt it's validity. They do it because for every twenty big stories that turned out to be crap, occasionally you do get a Watergate story that can actually affect history.

For a certain punk at the Boston Herald, that Rams walk through tape rumor was probably his chance to truly affect the outcome of people's livelihoods and get eternal credibility. But unless a tape get "leaked" to the press or there's undeniable evidence, what we have here is a another empty vault, only this is the Patriots vault, not Al Capone's.

You're translating, and speculating though. I'm talking about the actual wording, which isn't the same.

If I was a Patriots hater I could also look at that sources rumor concerning Walsh in a completely different light. For example, maybe Walsh does have something, but the Patriots or the NFL paid for his silence, which is the reason for his suddenly wanting this to all go away?

That's an entirely speculative hypothetical, but it's really not all that different from the slant getting speculated by us Patriots fans, just in the opposite direction. I wouldn't be surprised if you see some Patriots haters using a similar slant, either.

I've personally thought Walsh was BS'ing for a long time, but the source doesn't actually say Walsh has nothing.

But I thought that Goodell said that he only
wants to deal with issues from 07 going forward.
Why is this an issue if that's true?
