I like what James has to bring to a team this year and he is projected to go early to mid 2nd round.

Would you want New England to take a shot at this scoring machine with one of their picks in the 2nd?

He could be another great WR and certainly has great size

Eh, we've had our arguments. But I have to warn you that you're going to get crucified for this (see my Mario Manningham thread).

IMO Hardy is the best WR in the draft. He scores TDs, which is what separates #1 WRs in the NFL from pretenders. He has had some problems getting off the LOS, and some off field issues a couple years ago, but those problems are par for the course and IMO he should figure out how to release given some experience. All that said, he is not a fit for the Pats. He is a poor man's Randy Moss, and we already have the real Randy Moss locked up for 3 years. I think Buffalo would jump at him in rd 2 if he's there, assuming they take a cb at #11.

I agree with most of your stuff but I think I would be far from dissapointed if we did go after him.

Maybe the future of Chad Jackson may rely on where we take a receiver this year and how high up in the draft we go to take a WR - We definately will take one - somewhere and give Chad a big push to be mor ethan a bench warmer and occasional special team player

It's hard to imagine the Patriots tolerating a guys who beats his girlfriend. They already relinquished the rights to one of those guys before.

I think that the chances of Hardy coming to the team are about as good as the Patriots trading a 7th round pick for Terrell Suggs.

He'd be wasted sitting on the bench.

With so many needs needs on the O-Line and in the back-8 on D, why would we waste a 2cond round pick on a wideout when we already have the likes of Moss, Welker, Gaffney and Chad Jackson ? What kind of sense does that make? Not to sound nasty or anything, I just don't see the need for WR until we get into R4 or later.

You got "crucified" because of your ignorance. You had your facts wrong about Manningham. Not to mention your internet tough guy attitude because you think that Manningham is some kind of deep threat to line up opposite Moss.

But, hey, keep playing the victim. Its fun to watch and laugh at.

LOL, do you realize how badly you just got owned in that thread? But hey, keep calling me ignorant. After all, I am the one that can actually read a post before I respond. Guess that makes me ignorant.

Simply put, just too many other needs (OLB, ILB, DB, RT, ) before burning a 2nd round pick on a WR. We have one of the best WR corps in the game (with Kelly Washington as your 5th receiver). Why have him (a WR) being an game time inactive for most of the year? Better to get some depth at OLB & ILB and DB as the defense is always getting injuries. Also WR is supposed to be quite deep this year so you could pick up one in the 2nd day if you really felt the need to add to our WR corps. (aurguably deepest position on the team).

What's up you guys and recievers? The Pats shouldn't even consider reciever in this draft. The Pats don't need one and I'm sure one of the recievers will not be the best available when the Pats are ready to chose.

I would never rule out a reciever in this draft because we use so many 3wr sets. That said, a day 2 guy with return abilities would be about all we could afford after other needs are addressed.

The most key thing you said here is DAY 2 guy. We really don't need to be going after someone on day 1, if at all.

Ahh, the to live in ignorance. It truly must be bliss.

You are the one who had his facts wrong about Manningham. I wasn't the first person to point it out to you. How did you own me again? OH, that's right. You didn't. You just think you did because you live in ignorance.

I read your posts, as laughable as they are. You might want to actually work on that reading comprehension there.

OH, and, you are the maroon who thinks that post count means that someone has no life. I can guarantee you that I have a life and its plenty fulfilling. But, you'd rather show your ignorance by pointing out post count than admitting you had your facts wrong.

Yep. Perhaps I'll take you seriously when you actually debate my facts in there. You sound like a scared child almost. When someone comes along and actually brings several points and puts them in your face, you respond only with "you're ignorant", or "the ignorance must be bliss", or "you can't bring up points because you're so ingorant". So yes, you got owned because the only point you could actually halfassedly (yes, halfassedly... I made it up) debate was whether or not Reggie Bush is a number one back. But then you forget that everyone was crazy about him because he was a DYNAMIC FOOTBALL PLAYER. The Saints already had their traditional RB. They wanted Bush for his skillset which is why he was either in the backfield or split wide as a receiver. So yeah, like I said in the other thread, I can't take you seriously until you can actually debate me and not just sit back and say "IGNORANT, IGNORANT, IGNORANT!!!"

By the way, try to use another word rather than ignorant. Take advantage of the fact that I can't be more colorful with you because my hands are cuffed due to the fact that I post here from work.

When you actually use FACTS, maybe there will be something to debate. Until then, you've proven yourself to be nothing but an ignorant internet tough guy who threatens people just because he thinks he knows better.

1) The Saints took Bush because they wanted HIM to be their #1 over McAllister. Yes, that's right. They wanted Bush to be their #1 and McAllister to be the back-up.

2) Bush is a Poor man's Bryant Westbrook. It was a reach to take him where they did and he proved that he couldn't carry the load in New Orleans once McAllister went down.

3) I don't care if you "take me seriously" or not. You are the one who threw the hissy fit because you were taken to task over your ignorance in the Manningham thread. Ignorance that was posted PRIOR to my saying one word in that thread. So, for you to sit there and claim that I, for some reason, should debate you when you haven't shown you are worth debating, is pretty funny.

OH, btw, I use ignorant because its the best word that describes you. As for you being "more colorful," your excuse it pretty lame. But I have come to expect that from you.

You are the only person that I have ever heard that has labeled Reggie Bush a bust and said that it was a "reach" to take him at number 2 when teams were being accused to throwing games to get into better position to take him. By the way, one can make the point that McAllister's inceased production in 2006 was directly due to Reggie Bush. But what do I know? I'm just an ignorant know-nothing that doesn't deserve to be debating in the same thread with the great DaBruinz and his 10,000 posts.
